Comfortable, convenient, surprisingly spacious

Reasonably priced option -- at least when we there, in November -- for the Vineyard. The upstairs rooms have sloped ceilings that make them seem roomier, a nice design feature. The breakfast is nothing special, but there's always coffee available. Walking into Edgartown -- where there are many restaurants -- takes minutes, and there's a supermarket next door to the hotel. Since most sites are easily reachable, there seems to be little reason to pay a lot more just to be on the ocean somewhere. The only negative was that a family with two loud and constantly screaming kids stayed in the room below us our final night. The noise wasn't the hotel's fault, of course, but it was a bit irritating until the kids apparently fell asleep relatively early.

Clarion Inn attempts to be an ECO-friendly hotel and inn an effort to do this in the best of our ability any towels on the floor are replaced and those left on counters or hanging are generally left for the guest to reuse. We will address these issues with our staff and remedy the them for you or any of our other future guests stays.

Liked Martha's Vineyard. Didn't love it. Guess expectations were too high. Glad we went. Probably will not return
