Nice views but dated
Front desk was nice. But room was really dated, moldy, old sheets, set up like a dorm room, kinda for young. The free breakfast good. Above doors slits so could hear neighbor's being loudly intimate. The room door was impossible to lock, the shower leaked then last day toliet would not flush.

Good budget place; run down; steep climb back
The view from the terrace and some of the rooms comes at a price: there's a very steep road down to the village/restaurants/beaches. Bf was lovely: fresh baguette, Kiri cheese (if you know France), fresh local fruit and juice, boil your own eggs, croissant and pain au chocolat... I would stay again but maybe book earlier to get a slightly bigger/nicer room.

decent hotel in a good location
good location that's close to ferry, restaurants, casino, beach, etc. HOWEVER, if you don't have a car you must walk up/down a very steep hill to access the local activities.

Not what I was expecting
The only positive experience I took away was the seaside view I woke up to. There were cobwebs in our bathroom. The light was burned out in our bathroom and we were told it was going to be replaced in the morning, but it was never replaced throughout our entire trip. The general customer service experience with poor. They always told us to wait till morning. There was no drink on arrival. And the advertised location wasn't exactly where we thought we were going to be.

Better than expected
This hotel was a lovely welcome to Martinique. It's surrounded by flowers and tropical foliage, making it feel cozy and natural. Our room was clean with a balcony which featured a simple breakfast table and kitchenette. It also included A/C, a TV, and a beach chic bathroom with plenty of hot water. For a couple, it was perfect. Best of all, we were lucky enough to get a 3rd floor room which offers an amazing view of the whole the bay around Anse Mitan/Pointe du Bout. It's a beautiful sight to wake up to! The downsides are: -Housekeeping did not clean our rooms during the 3 nights we were there -it's kind of hard to locate (follow the signs for Hotel Karibea and be aware that it is at a high elevation, above the main road). -the front desk is not open 24 hours -the parking options are tight

Run down.
Hotel is dingy run down and overpriced. Door handle was ready to fall off. No soap or shampoo provided, insects in bathroom, walls dirty, mildewed tile. Sheets were clean and had bay view were the only positives.

Solo Traveler on a budget
As a solo traveler, I didn't mind staying there and the price was fair. Breakfast was ok not the greatest. The hill made it challenging for me to go out constantly. Overall, this place is not bad if you're on a budget. Martinique is great and I barely stayed in the room.

Quiet & peaceful.
Friendly & helpful staff.no bellman service but the room was easy to find.no taxi available on property,but shops,restaurants and beach is in walkin distance.lovely view of the bay due to location on a hill.We had a peaceful & quiet stay, no issues no problems with room.

Do not stay at this hotel
Rooms are filthy, AC and hot water not working upon arrival. reception lady did not know that some of the rooms were not ready nor cleaned. She gave us 5 room keys to try the waters. Finally we got one room with hot water, then AC broke down. Saturday night was like a big party going on in the hotel with high volume music, people screaming, shouting...up to the morning hours. You can't sleep all night. Breakfast is a joke. Give yourself a favor, skip this hotel.

Good view of the town from hotel
I arrived late at the hotel becuse my flight delayed. I took a taxi which took for a long time to reach the hotel. On arrival to the hotel it was already closed. However, I was welcomed by the secruity gurad who showed me the side entrance to check. The room was clean and well present.There was no lighting over the bed. light switch was far from the bed itself. The handle of the door to the balcony is not secure it comes of in your hand. But be prepare to walk up a steep hill. During the day reception was very friendly, helpful and pleasant.

My worst hotel stay so far
Overall I was not happy with my time there. My luggage was very heavy, my room was on the top floor and there is no elevator and no person to assist getting my bags there. I was told I could leave my heavy bag in an UNLOCKED janitor closet on the first floor! "it's completely up to you." What an insult! Do I look stupid enough to allow my bags to be stolen in an unattended unlocked room? I am a woman and had to get my heavy bags to the top floor by myself. No help was offered from hotel staff. I should add probably I had not just one bag, so my way to reach the room took not just one trip. When I open my room I found out that the lock didn't work, so I could not leave my room! I had to push my heavy bag against the door so that I could have at least minimal security while sleeping at night. A good thing the shower was warm, but no air-conditioning in the room, unless I pay extra. The room was very hot during the night. I told receptionist they should wake me up about 7:00 a.m. because my flight was at 10:00 a.m. plus way to airport plus time for breakfast but I didn't get any call from them! But breakfast was acceptable and woman who was serving breakfast was nice. This is the only good thing I can say about this hotel. Never go there again and do not suggest this place to my friends and relatives. It was by far the worst stay I have ever had.

Hotel in Trois Ilets
The hotel is a pleasant place to stay with an delightful open air roof-shaded patio and view. It is close to a beach. The staff were helpful, providing a map, recommendations for dinner, taxi reservations when asked, and the printing of my boarding pass. The cost of a taxi to the airport is 50-60 euros - one way. One should know that much of Martinique seems to be closed on Saturday afternoon. Also, restaurants don't open for dinner until about 7 pm. My room had a refrigerator. The housekeeping staff keeps the rooms with clean appearances, but I found a couple of bits of paper from previous guests under my bed and there was a slow leak at one place in the ceiling that made my slippers wet.

From the front desk to the cleaning lady, the staff was very helpful. Great view. But, the room looked nothing like the online photos. It looks like it was a great hotel at one time, but has since given up.

Karibea Camelia Residence - The worst hotel ever!
Needed a hotel for a stayover between two flights. The internet info stated à distance of 7 km, which actually was 25 km and 60 Euros. The noice outside my door during the night was terrible and drunk people continously knocked at my door until 04.00. Impossible to get in contact with the reception. Need to get away from this hotel as soon as possible to get some rest. Aviod this place if you can.

Was a nice hotel, but as with any travel must be careful with your computer and internet use and credit card. I only used my credit card once for Incidentals during my trip and upon check in and 24 hours later someone took the card number for a fake card and used it in boston. The following day our room door was open once when we returned to the room. We know we locked it. We checked the log in and someone had tried to log into our computer while we were out that afternoon/evening. As with any travel be careful with anything important--- id, internet, computers. No such thing as secure internet.

location is fine, but you need a car. the view from the room is very nice and it is close to other areas in the south that you can visit. probably the nicest beaches are in the south, for what i have seen. the personal in the hotel is fine, but they are not speaking english much and are not very helpful in solving your problems due to the language (i dont speak french). internet connection is fine but a bit slow.
