Property conditions & facilities

3/5 Okay

Loud and rough around the edges
If you're in town for outdoor activities this might be an ok place but it's not really set up for relaxing on the property. The front porch and yard are dominated by the sound of trucks accelerating up the nearby highway or if you're lucky by dump trucks and bulldozers in the next year. The interior is fine, showing some age with chipping paint and uncleaned rugs.

4/5 Good

Nice enough and would stay again.
This property overall is good. There's plenty of space inside and out, with lots of distance between neighbors. So you really feel like you're out in the country while still being close to shops, stores, restaurants, attractions, etc. It's a very convenient location. However, the house is near a highway and you will hear a lot of noise from trucks, day and night, during the weekdays. On weekend days it seemed to diminish significantly. Overall, we had a positive experience and would consider staying again.

5/5 Excellent

Family Fun
Laura was very easy to work with, it was very close to Harpers ferry which made it convenient. The only complaint we have is it was a lot of noise from the highway, that you can only hear when you were outside but it wasn't enough to ruin the trip.

5/5 Excellent

Excellent weekend getaway
Easy to drive to from Baltimore and Northern VA, 4 of us spent two nights and found the house to be even roomier than the pictures showed. We didn't spend much time hanging inside the house and made use of the patio, fire pit, front porch and hot tub during the great fall weather. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds that we slept in were very comfortable. Plenty of space outside in the yard for my dog to roam in the grass taking in all the sights and smells. No concerns whatsoever around cleanliness in the house when we checked in and the starter supply of soap, trash bags, paper towels, etc was very helpful. Really great experience!

5/5 Excellent

Great place in Harpers Ferry
The house was very clean and in great shape. Easy check in and easy communication. The fire pit was an added bonus! We did go tubing through River Riders, which I highly recommend doing. We went on Labor Day weekend, so it was pretty crowded everywhere. We thought the location was a little more remote (not knowing the area), but just be aware that the River Riders buses drive the same road and the far back yard is used for overflow parking. It was empty Friday and completely cleared out by 7pm or so on Sat/Sun. Great place and good price.
