Not what I expect from a VRBO
I own and successfully run a VRBO in Maryland. I have killed myself cleaning it and maintain a extremely high level of cleanliness during co-vid. This is not the case with this property. It is a very interesting old house. The beds were comfortable and the sheets clean. That is all I can say. There are mouse droppings in the house and mostly the kitchen. We had to wash everything before we used it. There were no dishtowels, oven mitts or even enough spoons to go around. The cabinets were filthy and random stuff was crammed in closets and cupboards. The fridge was less than clean. We left if far cleaner that we received it. I will say that the floors were clean. There had not been a window cleaned in years. The washing machine didn't work and in the bathrooms there was hair in the shower and tub. The hot water was really difficult to get to the upstairs and the water pressure was pretty much non existent. I get that it is a historical house and there are allowances made for things that are character. Lack of cleanliness can't be one of them. There is pretty much no cell service out there which would not have been bad but the internet was so awful that it only worked in one room in the house and that was sketchy. We loved the area and the quiet and the size of the house. It is such a shame about the problems as this could be a truly amazing place to stay.
