Budget Hotel for Traveling

Pros: Decent price for our budget and close to where we need to be. Problems with the room were quickly attended to by the hotel staff.
Cons: Take the mattresses out of the plastic. Sleeping is interrupted when you move or turn because of the plastic covering on the mattresses.
Location: Not much to do in Marysville, Ohio, but there are plenty of restaurants to satisfy most tastes.
Overall, our stay was good. The hotel staff were pleasant and accommodating. The rooms are currently being renovated, which causes some minor disturbances (but not at ridiculous hours). The free breakfast, while not expansive, is basic enough to save some money on eating out. Once all the renovations are completed (and double-checked) the hotel will be much better.

NOT READY FOR OCCUPANCY

I booked for three nights stay. We got to the hotel at 11 pm and noticed that the bed was "noisy." When we checked the mattress it was covered with the thick factory type plastic cover of a new mattress. Both mattresses were still in factory installed plastic covers! I complained to the receptionist and she texted the one in-charge. She later called me and told me that we cannot remove the plastic because they don't want the mattresses to be infected with bed bugs. I asked for different bed and different room but she said she didn't know which rooms didn't have a plastic cover. We were not able to sleep well. The next night I came back at 11 pm same thing the mattresses were still wrapped in plastic. We left the hotel and slept somewhere else. I spoke with the one in charge and she apologized for the inconvenience. She told me that the hotel just went through a major renovation and the waterproof covers for the mattress haven't arrived. She said that it would be unfair for the next pattons if the mattreses get soiled by urine and other liquids. She said she couldn't do anything about my complain. I complained to expedia and yhey refunded me only my unused night. They refused to refund my second night.

Birthday Get-Away

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel, the pool was the main draw. I encountered 2 problems, one was signing into the internet via my phone. The second was asking the front desk directions in getting to downtown Columbus. She referred me to looking it up on the internet. Otherwise, I was pleased with the hotels cleanliness & overall appearance.

Awefull exoerience

We arrived at the hotel and there were two complaining guests, and the reception guy was not very helpful at all to them. We got our room and looked ok. Untill the morning when I woke up with my arms bitten by some bug I had 20-30 bites. When I told that at checkout the reception guy only said "sorry for your trouble!" The room had many unfinishe details and was dirty once you look clisely. The bathroom door didnt close properly. Etc etc etc. dont stay there if you have a chioce

Check in was fast and easy, room was clean and ready on time. Free breakfast was pretty good. Hotel is obviously old and not many updates have been done, but it's about 30 minutes away from Columbus which was nice. It's nothing fancy, but I'd stay there again.

Declining hotel condition

This hotel is in declining/poor condition. It is in great need of repair and updates. I am positive the pillows were older than my grown children.

The hotel had a stale smoke scent in it but was clean and nice for the price. The neighbors were loud an obnoxious at 3-4 in the morning, which isn't the hotels fault but it was still annoying.
