The host was welcoming & friendly and very informative, helping us with suggestions of restaurants and sites to see as well as some history on her home which has been in her family for 18 generations. Having come from busy, crowded and loud Paris (which we loved as well), Château de la Giraudière was exactly what we needed next; quiet, fresh air and a small village environment. “We spent one night at La Ferme de Marpalu and absolutely loved it! The location is perfect—close to beautiful castles, with plenty of options to hike, explore, and enjoy nature. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful. Ingrid and Jean-Paul are wonderfully warm and welcoming. Despite the snow and cold, Jean-Paul came out to greet us personally and gave detailed instructions so we could fully enjoy our stay. Their kindness truly made us feel at home. “It is a very lively boutique hotel in the country with the most wonderful staff. We had room 6 and the bed was comfortable and shower and amenities were very good. The staff at the restaurant is very attentive and friendly and the breakfast buffet was extensive and outstanding (except crepes were dry). Dinner was excellent. ”
