No Pool that weekend

Posted Oct 31, 2017
Payed more than I would’ve to stay at that particular hotel because my son wanted to use their pool but turns out it was being repainted, would’ve been nice to know that in advance so I could’ve booked a less expensive hotel without a pool.

Nice location--access to freeway, downtown, food.

Posted Oct 28, 2017
Pros: See the above.
Cons: Definitely the bed pillows.
Location: Near an Applebee's. Off main road into Mason City and Meredith Willson's home and museum. Nice! Easy access to I-35.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. When we arrived, we were greeted with a smile and a jar of homemade M&M cookies on the counter. A nice, satisfying, unexpected welcome for weary travelers.. Our request of a room near the elevator was followed. Located next to an Applebee's was nice, especially with the bad weather/high winds we faced. My only criticism was that the pillows for the bed(s) were too small and compacted. They were overly stuffed and uncomfortable, something more like decorative pillows for a sofa--not for sleeping! I could not find a pillow that had some "give" to it. When I used one of them, my neck was arched in a very uncomfortable position. I finally had to sleep with no pillow. The bed itself was comfortable. We could figure out the temperature control. It was on the unit, nicely lit up, and easy to adjust. Complimentary breakfast had the usual motel offerings, nothing special. I really thought it was one of the nicest Super 8s I had stayed in--except for the pillows!.

It was OK

Posted Oct 9, 2017
Pros: It had a pool. Location was good. Staff was friendly.
Cons: Our clock kept going off when we turned out the lights. The outlet shouldn't be controlled by the light switch. Room doors were loud when shut.
Location: Good, central location.
The hotel was OK; it was cheap. There were doors banging next to our room many times throughout the night. Hotel staff was friendly. Pool was heated this time. Not many selections at breakfast. Rooms were OK - what I expected.

Had a great stay. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff provided assistance with key as I was having trouble getting in main door. Overall great. Would definitely stay again.

Every time I went to the front desk, know one was there so I had to wait, lobby was junkie and outdated.

Close to many shops and restaurants

Pros: Location.
Cons: Bathroom walls need cleaning. Needed front desk help and could not find the clerk. Then found her outside smoking.
Good location, easy to find. The morning breakfast was greatly appreciated.
