Pros: Overall homelike feeling.
Cons: Outside front of house could use some upkeep. Wood revealed, etc.
Location: Was very convenient to Music Man Square and downtown activities.
My first bed and breakfast. Sally and staff were really, really good. Lots of care and consideration.

Nice B&B near the Music Man Square. It was professionally run with a homey atmosphere. It was very well decorated and we slept very well. The breakfast was exceptional with fresh fruit, homemade strawberry jam and spring fruitata. Yum.

Cozy. Friendly. Accomodating.Posted Jul 27, 2015
This was our first time at a Bed and Breakfast, and we were not disappointed. Excellent, friendly staff. Nice room (just the right combo of quaint and remodeled). Good food. Definitely recommend.

Decker HousePosted Jul 14, 2015
Incredible! Wish we could have stayed longer. We rode our bicycles to the Frank Lloyd Wright hotel and then found a number of city trails. What a discovery!

Nice Bed and Breakfast!Posted Jun 23, 2015
My mother lives in a nursing home in Mason City. I wanted to be close to where she was and this bed and breakfast is located right in the heart of the city. The innkeeper Sally was delightful and very accommodating to all needs. A delightful change from sterile motels and conveniently located in Mason City.

I loved my stay at The Decker House. I hope some day that I can return for pleasure and in warmer weather.

One of the best options in the area.Posted Jan 4, 2015
I loved staying at the Decker House. After too many bad experiences staying in hotels in the Mason City/Clear Lake area I decided to try something different while visiting my family. This place was beautifully decorated for the holiday season and was well maintained. I really liked the homey feeling of this old house (yes, it creaked a little and there were some drafts, but I expected that). The bed was so comfortable and I was plenty warm despite being in the "coldest room". The bathroom was clean, and the shower was hot! The very best part of staying here was the friendliness of the staff, especially Sally. Thank you for a great stay. I will be booking again when I go back next to visit my family in the area.

DisappointedPosted Nov 11, 2014 on Hotels
Staff was friendly. Bed was very uncomfortable. Other guests were very loud when they came in and also slammed first floor bathroom door multiple times late in evening. Staff should be telling guests to be courteous of other guests. Unfortunately could not stay for breakfast so cant rate that.
