AdquatePosted Apr 27, 2015 on Hotels
The room was very dated, but clean and comfortable. The only exception was that a previous occupier had used dishes and put them away dirty (pots, bowls, cups). I would have thought room service would have picked up on this. Not pleasant for us to have to. The staff, however, were very friendly and helpful.

Quiet motel, good facilities but some improvementPosted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: The room was clean, lovely bed linen. Close to shops and a good walking distance to many things.
Cons: The bed was dreadful, very soft and bouncy and roll together. The shower pressure was almost non existent. The spa pool was not working.
Location: Lovely quaint shopping in nearby towns. Drag strip close by and jet sprint park when events are on.
Overall the motel was adequate for the purpose. We were in the Wairapa for the jet sprints over a busy Anzac weekend and accommodation was scarce. Disappointing was the shower pressure and the extremely soft bed. Masterton has great food and is a convenient place to stay to visit other towns nearby. The quaint shops in Greytown and Carterton are worth visiting. The park in Masterton is fabulous for the kids. Grab yourself an ice cream or fish n chips, a loaf of bread for the friendly ducks and while away some time, even better in summer.

Very comfortable, with friendly efficient service. Could only get 4 channels on the TV, but that was minor.

Would returnPosted Apr 14, 2015 on Hotels
The property is dated but priced accordingly. Lighting for reading fair only. Good restaurant on premises. Free newspaper weekdays but not Saturday, why?

First time in MastertonPosted Apr 10, 2015 on Wotif
Pros: Close to everything. Very quiet at night-time
Cons: Perhaps the bathroom could be tidied up a little. Showing wear and tear.
Location: Loved being close to Greytown, Castle point, Martinborough, Lake ferry and Pallister Point.
We had no idea about any places of accommodation in Masterton and took this one on face value over the internet. It turned out perfect in every way.

cheap and cheerful option for us and the kids.Posted Mar 16, 2015
We normally stay elsewhere when we need to stay in Masterton but this was a great option for the family. Recommend it as a good family spot that has all you need.
