Nice Pet Friendly Hotel

Well accommodating for pets... My one complaint is the Exit hallsways were never cleaned and enormous spiders hanging from the ceiling ... Besides that grounds were very nice, rooms very nice, and most of the staff was very nice except one cleaning lady was mean and rude .. Very hard to find hotels that allowed big dogs and this one was good

A second waffle machine in the breakfast room would be a big help.

A good place to go to just relax. I liked the breakfast. My only concern was a big dog walking in the hotel that another guess just let loose. The dog walked towards me and I didn't see the owner around. I was frozen for like 3 minutes until the owner got him .

The grounds were very pretty.

Pros: The restaurant, bar and room views were very pretty.
Cons: The leaking roof, the dampness issue, and the buckling corridor carpets.
Location: I stayed there because we were visiting relatives but I saw things like fishing, kayaking walking trails and quaint villages that were very nice.
It's a shame because the hotel has a lot of potential but has been let go. The room carpets were new but the corridor carpets were buckling. It was raining and there were roof leaks insidein various main areas of the hotel. The vending machine gave me candy that was expired. My main complaint was the damp feeling and smell that the room had. The rugs felt by damp which I guess happens when it rains and your on the first floor. The bar and restaurant was good but the free breakfast was equivalent to the kind you get at a $79 a night hotel. For $79 it would have been ok but with tax and the pet fee for my little dog it came to $225 which I felt was a lot to sleep in a room that felt wet.

Every staff member was friendly & courteous. I work in customer service & this hotel obviously trains their people well. Rooms were clean, neat & stocked. Breakfast buffet was excellent with lots to choose from. Only suggestion is to have an air conditioner installed in the fitness room. I would recommend this hotel to friends!

The hotel advertised cable channels but we were told they were disconnected. Most of the channels were fuzzy and had lines through the picture. Air conditioner did not work properly; we were told we had one of the newer units. Staff was great and responsive both at check in and dealing with the TV. Staff in the restaurant was great also.

Spiders! We had to ask to switch rooms because there were three huge spiders in our room and my step-daughter was frightened.

the fish dinner as advertised was not available. Desk asked us to call our own taxi. It is close to everything if you wish to drive.

Hi John The seafeast has been discontinued as of a few weeks ago. I will have to correct it on our site for right now it is available for groups only I will talk to the front desk and find out who was on the night of your stay, we should of called a taxi for you. I am sorry this has happened.

Run down hotel badly in need of renovation

Pros: The staff
Cons: It must be renovated.
Location: I was there for a retreat and did not explore other activities.
Problems started at check in when they told me that I had canceled my reservation. I had not. They had two rooms available but would not honor my online reservation rate. There was a dog show in the hotel (I love dogs). But the weather was wet and rainy and the place smelled like wet dog. There was water damage on the ceiling and wall and the in room jacuzzi did not work. The bedding was old, lumpy pillows and rough sheets. The staff was very kind and they did adjust my rate when I complained.
