My experience at Hyatt

Posted Jul 13, 2017
Beautiful hotel grounds. But rooms are a bit outdated. Bathrooms are very disappointing. Pool is amazing but quickly run out of chairs by 7:30am (so be ready to wake up extra early). Not much of a beach, but if you walk to other resorts on strip you can enjoy beach. Overall it's a lovely hotel if you want to relax and unwind.

Great hotel next to the beach with fantastic pools

Posted Jul 11, 2017
This Hotel has everything and is in a great location. There are several pools to lay out by, multiple bars and restaurants and even a fairly legitimate gym facility with approximately 8 elliptical machines 5 treadmills several bikes, and a large dance/ cardio area. The have multiple Life Fitness machines to hit every muscle while away from home as well as a dumbbell set that goes al the way up to 100 lbs. There is also smith rack. No free Olympic weight set, bummer, but for a hotel gym it was really something. Mornings are packed but clears out around 930. The house reef is fantastic for snorkeling. The best one we found is right in front of the Swan and duck pond. Beautiful thriving hard coral. Stunning fish and the occasional sea turtle. The resort staff was very friendly and super accommodating. If you forgot something, no need to worry, they have a ton of shopping in the facility. Additionally, a five minute walk up the beach walk will get you to whalers village and it is shopping galore. The restaurant we really enjoyed was Japango. It is relatively high priced, but the food was excellent. There are many restaurants within walking distance that are also excellent but prices are high because of high tourist demand. This was our second stay at this resort and we have toured the othe properties nearby, and it is our favorite. We will definitely be staying there again.

coming back soon!!

Posted Jul 5, 2017
I have seen and visited this hotel many times, but never stayed. This one we booked Hyatt Kaanapali and wow are we impressed. The staff knew our names, celebrated our special occasion with us and even sent us gifts from valet and front desk. Reyna was incredible at front desk, the valet and housekeeping amazing too! Can't wait to see it again.

Great location and accommodations

Posted Jul 4, 2017
Pros: Accessibility to beach, tennis courts, gym
Cons: better quality or replacement of pull out bed from couch Lighting in bathroom and exhaust fan
The hotel restaurant, pool and japengo were very good. The exercise facility was state of the art and I choose this resort for the tennis courts! The only areas of improvement could have been more light in the bathroom, exhaust fan, and the pull out couch for my daughter was not very comfortable.

Great Hotel, Great Amenities, Great Beach Location

Posted Jul 3, 2017
Pros: I liked the staff of the front desk, room service, pool service, and valet service. I loved the beach location. Free water bottles in the rooms!
Cons: The room décor is a little dated, but no Biggy. The elevators' wood paneling needs to be refinished. Cabanas are too expensive. All small things to me
Location: Really close to food, shopping, Banyan Tree, art galleries, and Luaus on Front Street.
This was my first time in Maui, as my wife and I chose this Island to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. We got a great price at his hotel, the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa, during the beginning of the peak season. It turned out to be the best hotel on the Ka'anapali Beach in Lahaina, in my opinion. It has a beautiful open lobby with some great amenities, like a coffee shop, general store, Macy's bathing suit store, and even an Expedia Concierge. The staff of the hotel were excellent, especially the front desk, room service, and pool service. The valet service was exceptional, as even when really busy, these guys somehow got things done quickly. The hotel concierge service was just okay, often seeming indifferent, but we didn't need much from them. The hotel is huge, with multiple buildings, a huge pool area, a separate children's pool area, a water slide, a grotto bar, and a swan lake. It is great for both families with or without kids. We got the breakfast buffet included with our room, which was really nice and saved us a good amount of money. When it comes to parking, be aware that the self-parking lot is not really close to the hotel. So, I chose instead to pay the $10 extra per day charge for valet service ($30) over self-park ($20). One issue I think everyone should be aware of is that during the weekends, the pool area can be really busy, and people will start claiming their chairs as early as 5:30 AM during peak season.

Nice hotel for a short stay

Posted Jul 1, 2017
Pros: The hotel, the room, the staff and the overall amenities were very nice
Cons: The parking and noise is an issue.
There is a Luau each night "The Drums of Maui". The noise level is tremendous, so it you want to go to sleep anytime before 10:00 p.m. forget it!!!! The parking was also a problem, unless you paid for valet. We found we had to find a parking spot early and then take a cab or walk to events outside of the hotel, as coming back and trying to find a parking spot after 8:00 was impossible.
