If you're looking for a decent place, this is it

I was just satisfied with the hotel and the conditions and the amenities of the hotel. The location was prime. It wasn't on the beach but it was located in the back of the beach and beachfront hotels. You don't have to hear the daily noise of the people at the beach, which is what I like. However, there was stains on the carpet, the towel rack fell down on a daily basis, the televisions in the bedroom and living room had channels that froze (it wasn't a big issue because I watched a total of two hrs of television on a weeks vacation). The biggest grievance was the lack of air conditioning. The wall unit was in the living room and the bedroom was in the front area of the condo. The fan ran on one speed: very slow. However, it had a four option speed and all options ran on VERY slow. I have acid reflux, and I have to sleep in cool and cold conditions, every night to get good rest. I couldn't sleep. I had four attacks in six days. I had someone occupying the sofa bed in the living room area, and they got the cool air. I, occupying the bedroom, in the far part of the condo, slept in sweat and heat. The hotel claims it has air conditioning but it should state: limited air conditioning. Had I known this, I wouldn't have rented a room from this hotel.

Aloha, Marc. Thank you for visiting Kahana Villa. We are sorry to hear about the exacerbation of your acid reflux. From your description, it would appear your air conditioning unit was not functioning properly. We would have been happy to address the challenge while you were on property or move you to a unit whose air conditioner provided more cooling relief. We appreciate your feedback and hope you will give us another opportunity to make a more favorable impression the next time you're on Maui.
