Great location, small rooms

Posted Feb 13, 2017
Pros: Friendly, small great location right on beautiful Keawakapu beach. We saw around a dozen humpbacks spouting, breaching and pectoral slapping offshore.
Cons: Not really
Location: Lots of great beaches nearby. Quite easy to get up the north western side of Maui, over to the east coast and up the volcano for drive and walk.
Room 101 is right on the beach, right next door to a restuarant. We did have a sea view if you sat at the tiny table but not very private! Although tiny, the room is very functional, clean and bed is great. Need the aircon on as feel a little vulnerable with windows open. Would request an upstairs beach view room or non beach view room. Parking is good, staff great. There is a small fridge and microwave. The next door Restuarant is great and open for all meals.

Great location

Posted Jan 30, 2017
Pros: Location
Location: Beach is great and because it is lined with private homes, never too crowded. Two good restaurants a short walk away. Great whale watching.
The best thing about this place is its location right on one of the best beaches on Maui. Very basic and the rooms could use some updating. Good for a night or two, but not ideal for longer stays relative to price you'd pay for larger/ better appointed hotel rooms available at neighboring condo buildings. Definitely not a great place for families as room size cannot accommodate cots/cribs/fold out beds. Best option is to book directly with hotel so you can get rates that reflect chain's loyalty program.

Fabulous little place.

Posted Jan 30, 2017
Pros: Location, quiet. Can sleep with the window open and be lulled to sleep by the sound of the crashing surf on the beach just yards away.
Cons: For the price, it was just fine.
Location: Close to Four Seasons Resort where we had dinner at Spago, and shopping and dining in Kihei.
A gem of a motel. My room was just steps away from one of the nicest little beaches in Kihei. Great little place right on the beach that won't break the bank. Awesome.

The hotel is OK. The location at the beach is great. Most of the staff was very nice. Small room but who cares, you're at the beach.

Quiet & close to beach. A bit dated as expected

Posted Jan 27, 2017
Cons: Parking, see above
Location: Close to beach, short drive to numerous other beaches, shopping and food. Easy to find. Snorkelling out front of hotel was decent too.
Quiet hotel next to a good beach, room was small and dated as we expected. Was all we needed for the amount of time we spent in the room. Bed was super comfy. Parking was tough at times due to public beach, and sarentos onsite restaurant had valets that used hotel and beach parking. All in all, great location, clean, quiet and good price

Next to beach

Posted Jan 20, 2017
Pros: Next to beach good for snorkeling, paddle boarding, swimming, sun bathing. Refrigerator and microwave, free internet and laundry.
Cons: Very small rooms with shower but no tub. Entrance doors are very loud when closed.
Location: The Mana Kai Maui next door has an all day restaurant, a convenience store and the Hawaiian Style Activities to sign up for activities.
Convenient location on the outskirts of the busy South Kehei.

Great location, great beach, over-priced

Posted Jan 16, 2017
Pros: The proximity to the beautiful beach, and to Wailea, the ease on traffic
We stayed there over New Years'. For the prices in the neighborhood, at $250/nt this was really a bargain.... However, the hotel barely deserves the star rating for the amenities it has and the service. On the upside there are wonderful views and walks on the beach, the location is excellent - relatively close to the airport (and the Hana highway in general), extremely close to turtle-town where good snorkeling opportunities lie, and we could avoid the awful traffic jams we'd be in were we to stay in Lahaina / Ka'anapili / Napili... The room is basic and somewhat dated, there's no view to the ocean from anywhere in the hotel, part of the parking space is taken by the valet service of the beachfront restaurant, and so parking may be problematic at times (more parking places are available at the non-paved public car park on the other side of the hotel). The check-in process took a while, and when we asked for two extra coffee maker capsules, we had to pay for them.

More like a 60$ a night motel. Dated, very small, good location though, right next to the beach.

Disappointing Oceanfront room

Posted Jan 11, 2017
Pros: On the beach, close to nice restaurants. The staff was very friendly and attentive.
Cons: The wifi was out for part of the day, and the shutters could be fixed so that they could be opened. The air conditioning was very loud.
Overall the hotel was disappointing. I have stayed at Days Inn hotels before and this one was old and out of date. I upgraded and booked the oceanfront room, and was extremely disappointed with it. The room had a very tiny window and the plantation shutters were cheap and did not open very well, so the little view we had of the ocean was obstructed. If I would have known there would be no view, I would have got a standard room. It was fine for one night, as the location is good, on the beach and close to Wailea, but the room was not very comfortable.
