Great location, great beach, over-priced

We stayed there over New Years'. For the prices in the neighborhood, at $250/nt this was really a bargain.... However, the hotel barely deserves the star rating for the amenities it has and the service. On the upside there are wonderful views and walks on the beach, the location is excellent - relatively close to the airport (and the Hana highway in general), extremely close to turtle-town where good snorkeling opportunities lie, and we could avoid the awful traffic jams we'd be in were we to stay in Lahaina / Ka'anapili / Napili...
The room is basic and somewhat dated, there's no view to the ocean from anywhere in the hotel, part of the parking space is taken by the valet service of the beachfront restaurant, and so parking may be problematic at times (more parking places are available at the non-paved public car park on the other side of the hotel). The check-in process took a while, and when we asked for two extra coffee maker capsules, we had to pay for them.
