Great location With a beach.

Love the place i Will stay here again. The beach is right behind it. We had room 106 which was very close to the beach.

Close to the beach however very outdated

We arrived an hour early for checkin and were given "emergency" rooms since ours were not ready yet. No lock on the safe, phone didn't work and smelled moldy. Once we pointed out the issues they moved us. Due to the restaurant onsite parking was near impossible after 10pm. One night we paid the restaurant valet to park for us since the space was so tight and the next night we had to use the public beach parking. They provide beach towels only, no chairs for the beach. We found out on day 4 of our stay that we could rent beach chairs at a rental shop located at the hotel next door. Too bad no one at the Days mentioned that when I asked about chairs on day 1. The beach is only a few steps away however not worth it when a roach crawled out of our clothing.

We've stayed at the Ka'anapali Shores numerous times and always enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. We were disappointed that the beach washed away the past winter. Some of our fondest memories were on the beach at sunset and snorkeling during the day. That one item certainly didn't take away from our enjoyment of another year in Maui.

Will never stay here again

Pros: The price was a great deal for being on the beach, but my valuables are worth more so NOTHING.
Cons: The entire hotel needs an upgrade, the shower goes from hot to cold every minute. If the toilet upstairs flushes your water is scolding hot then cold.
Location: Location is great, that is something you can't lie about as it is right on the beach at a beach that is perfect for the whole family.
We have stayed at the Days Inn Maui Oceanfront five times now, and this time around was the final straw. We always give them the benefit of the doubt for being a small beach front hotel with no amenities, but this time their service was so poor we can no longer give them the benefit of the doubt. We recently returned from a 2 week stay at their hotel and on multiple occasions house keeping would never come and clean our room when we were out by 8AM to the point we would have to call and let the front desk we were leaving and wanted it cleaned that day, which still didn't always work. The next issue, one of the days house keeping actually did come and clean when we asked, the problem, they left our room open the entire day by leaving the door lock between the frame and the door, which left access to our room on the beach that is constantly busy with locals and visitors from before sun up to long before sun down. When we reported the issue they acted like it was no big deal and then went on to tell us that house keeping said they didn't leave it open... Just so everyone knows, when you sign your papers at a hotel you basically release all rights to go after them if something is stolen from your room. They could of cared less about the situation, and it took us reaching out to the Assistant General Manager and threatening to go to her boss to get a response in which she basically called us liars. We will never again stay here and we aren't afraid to say it, STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

Affordable stay near the Beach in the Wailea area

Good experience! It has air conditioning which is nice, plentiful free parking, Wi-Fi, ceiling fan, and it's a few minutes drive from many restaurants in the area along the beach. If I return to Maui in the future I would stay here again.

great budget hotel

We had ocean view suite with balcony. Everything was great except occasional cockroaches we come across inside our suite every now and then. Not so pleasing. Perhaps they are from that Sorentos beach front restaurant that is also part of this hotel. Another con is that restaurant literally right below the suite, at times was loud in the evening when they hosted weddings and get-togethers. beside noise and roaches it is a great place at a great price with amazing ocean view and balcony. rooms are clean great amenities. over all pleasing! Don't go to Sorentos. way overpriced, tiny portions and tastes okay.

The hotel is in a great location

Location: Very close to the shops at Wailea.
I had a great experience here and the staff was friendly and courteous. The hotel is right on the beach so it's easy walk on over to watch the sunrise or sunset, or just lay on the beach. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Pros: Location.
Cons: Housekeeping, responsiveness of front desk staff, A/C units.
Absolutely perfect location. Subpar housekeeping and front desk staff. We had to repeatedly request housekeeping on the third day of our stay because they kept skipping our room. A/C units are weak when it gets really humid and hot. But for the price, hard to beat this spot.
