Cons: The customer service of the staff.
Overall a great stay- the rooms were clean, the and were as exactly as described via the website. My family and I had a wonderful time. The only thing that could have been improved upon was the customer service of the front desk staff- they struggled to explain the additional fees (outside of the resort fees), and we had to speak with a manager the next morning to receive an adequate explanation. Luckily management were great in providing a detailed explanation, as well as an apology for the check-in persons lack of customer service.

Great suites, amazing kitchen, and washer/dryerPosted Nov 21, 2015
We loved our stay in this hotel. Great for our needs with a baby to prepare his meals, has a dish washer, full sized fridge, washer/dryer. Beautiful beach, great and big pool area.

落ち着いた雰囲気と安心感のあるコンドミニアムPosted Nov 20, 2015

Nice Suite and location, disappointing housekeepingPosted Nov 19, 2015
Pros: Large suite, amazing view ( we stayed in partial view room), nice location, free parking. Walking distance to the beach. Pool w/waterfall and slide.
Cons: Housekeeping, and seems that the furniture ( couches ) are wearing down. Better plumbing, which removes the smell.
Location: There are only few restaurants around, Duke's is on-site, OK food, but a bit pricey. There is a big super market (times) across the street.
This was our second time in Hanua Kai. We first stayed in this hotel 2 years ago when it was just remodeled. In our visit this year, the suite was as comfortable as before, with nice kitchen appliances and accommodation. However, it was smelling really bad, we had to leave the windows open all the time. Bathroom sink was clogged from the day one and we only could use 1 sink. It seemed there were some plumbing issues. Overall though it was ok. The most disappointment came from the housekeeping. After calling several times to ask for extra towels, and other supplies for our room, we were told that the room will be cleaned only every other day. Then in second day, they only replaced towels, and when we called again, they said the full cleaning would happen every 4 days. In the 4 day when we return to our room, the bed was set, and room was tidy. But we noticed that the bed sheets were not changed, and bathroom was not cleaned ( the shower drain was not cleaned, etc.). When I was checking out, I brought my disappointment to the receptionist, and she looked at the calendar, and said " since you only stayed for 5 nights, the full cleaning does not cover changing bed sheets and cleaning bathroom". When I questioned the advantage of this service over VRBO, and mentioned what was written on the website, she answered " this is our policy, were there any notes about the bed sheets!".... So disappointing and this conversation was not a good ending to a great trip we had.

Family resortPosted Nov 18, 2015
I love this resort. It had so much to do as a family or just as a couple. The beach is amazing and has great snorkeling. I saw so many fish and even turtles. The restaurant has really good food.

Great ResortPosted Nov 14, 2015
We had a great time. Only one issue or 'gripe' is that you pay a resort fee yet they charge you even more for use of the covered pool cabanas. They should be included with the resort fee.

Very nice place to spend your time in MauiPosted Oct 30, 2015
Pros: Clean and modern looking with a nice organic store at the lobby. Very good for kids since most visitors were their kids between the age of 4-12.
Cons: Staff need to make sure they don't over-promise and under-deliver.
Location: Very close to Lahaina and Kaanapali.
We stayed here for the second time in two years. Overall, we really liked it as the location is far enough from the busy towns but close enough with a quick ride. The only thing that stood out was the front desk's lack of communication about room upgrade. I was told that they will look into upgrading us to an ocean view room. They said they will call as soon as they know. I told them that we will not unpack until I get a call to know whether an ocean view room was averrable or not. They never called. We ended up staying at our original room for the rest of our stay.

Amazing rooms and decent locationPosted Oct 25, 2015
Pros: The insides of the rooms are the shining star -- stunning and luxurious. Nicest bathroom of any resort I've ever stayed at.
Cons: Charging guests for certain rooms (ie: ocean view) and actually giving a cheaper room without cost reduction.
Location: Nice location by Lahaina. Because of the low speed limit and one-lane highway, it can still take 20 minutes to get to Front Street or Kaanapali beach.
We came here on our honeymoon and had a wonderful trip overall. First of all, the rooms are absolutely amazing. Bathrooms as big as a bedroom, gleaming kitchenettes, convenient laundry/dryer, comfy and attractive living room and bedroom, great amenities, nice lanais. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite, and I can't say enough good things about the room - it will be hard to go back to "regular" hotel rooms after staying someplace so luxurious. I would definitely stay here again with rooms like that. The main downside: We paid for a full Ocean View, but only got a partial -- unless we were way out on the lanai, we could only see the resort grounds; and even fully out on the lanai was not full ocean view. Really not a big deal to us, but what we were upset about is being charged the full Ocean View price (which is a lot more a night than the partial, no small sum, especially when staying a week +). When we brought it up to the concierge, their excuse was that you could still see some of the ocean from the lanai (which we didn't disagree with; it was clearly a Partial Ocean view). When I mentioned that we saw other guests' Partial Ocean views and they were exactly the same (or even better) than our allegedly full Ocean View, they gave us a fraction of the price difference back (the cost difference of just one night of Partial vs. full, even though we stayed a full week). Next time, I definitely wouldn't book the full Ocean View because it was a hefty extra cost without the benefit
