Reasonable priced hotel near the water.Posted Nov 9, 2015
Pros: Coveniently located to where we were visiting.
Cons: Maybe a little more decor update.
Location: Near the airport and local grocery, drug and shopping stores.
The hotel is located not far from the airport and near stores. It is near the water and a kayak boat launch but not much lounging on the beach because of the rocks but still great views. Built some time in the late sixties, it still has some of the vintage touches. Our room was clean and quite roomy for the two of us with a king bed and even a recliner chair. Getting past the dated decor, our stay was quite comfortable . The hotel staff were all very helpful and nice. The restaurant out front was pretty good and convienient , frequented by locals and family gatherings. The parking lot was quite tight and with the restaurant we often had to park around the back, required a bit more walking, but we felt safe doing so. We had a maintenance issue our last night but it was taken care of right away. Overall our six night stay was good. Don't expect frills and extras but for the price, very reasonable.

Cons: the owners should have a consultant with them and look it over
I had a sore back and the lumpy bed made it worse. I actually cannot remember the desk staff. Arrived really tired.

Pros: Room was clean and good sized
Cons: add another elevator to the last wing of units
The unit I was placed in w/ my elderly mother was in the back units w/ only one elevator and our unit, naturally, was over half way down that long corridor. The room was clean. It just is not friendly to someone who is elderly

Zentrales Hotel,Posted Oct 30, 2015

Quiet Hotel on BeachPosted Oct 25, 2015
Pros: Centrally located, easy to get from parking to the room.
Cons: lengthen the pool hours, no extra fee for parking
Location: right on the beach, restaurants and shopping within walking distance.
Older hotel, well kept, right on the beach, close to shopping and restaurants, just needs longer pool hours.

A good deal. I'll stay there again next time.Posted Oct 25, 2015
Pros: See above
Cons: Guests who pay the extra $14.95 for breakfast for two should be made aware that the restaurant opens at 7 a.m. Some tour buses arrive about that time.
Location: Convenient for tours. Lahaina and its Luaus are only a 30-minute drive away.
My carpeted room was Spartan, but very clean and kept that way by the housekeeper who tended to it daily. There's ample drawer and clothes hanging space for two people. Coffee maker and coffee is provided in the room. My room had a refrigerator which worked great. The hotel is conveniently located just a couple of miles from the airport. The grounds are beautifully kept, and decorated with many gorgeous tropical plants. Many of the rooms are arranged around a swimming pool, and have a view of the ocean. My room was not poolside, but I also had an ocean view. A lengthy beach is available a few feet away and you can swim, but lifeguards are not provided. There are 3 fishing piers on this beach where you can fish. Cruise ships and other large ships dock about a quarter mile away which makes for some interesting viewing and photo ops. For an extra $14.95 per day added to your room rate, you can enjoy a nice breakfast for two at Tante's Island Cuisine Restaurant which is next door and attached to the hotel. The restaurant's food, island décor and Hawaiian music is nice, and the service is excellent. Tante's opens at 7 a.m. There's also a Burger King within easy walking distance. A Chevron station is across the street where you can buy gas, food, beer, soft drinks, etc. There's ample free parking, but not at your door. You may have to walk a short distance. The parking lot has a security guard. I like this place. I'll stay here again on my next trip to Maui.
