Nice area on Maui!

Pros: Close to stores and places to eat.
We have stayed at this condo facility many times over 40 years. This is the first time we felt we wouldn't be back. In part, the hotel is aged and the design with the stairwell in the middle of the units creates terrible noise for anyone in the second bedrooms at least in building 4. The patio was unusable because the drainage for the excess rain is inappropriate for the amount of rain. It tends to slope to the middle instead of to the side where the drain spots are. We did not like the design in our two bedroom unit. It had the master bedroom open to the downstairs which made it impossible for us to go to bed before anyone else. Noise travels upward and we went several nights without sleep! Our adult children were in the second bedroom and also went without sleep because of the excess noise in the stairwell and hallways due to the staff and garbage trucks, etc. Since we went through Expedia, we didn't have a choice of rooms and the facility was full! It was very busy on the beach which is losing ground due to erosion so it was next to impossible to find a comfortable place on the beach. We will not likely stay there again. This makes us very sad since we have such great memories of this place!

The Sands of Kahana was perfect for our family. It has a great location and the rooms were plenty spacious.

The hotel room overall was nice abs the staff was awesome! The fridge door broke abdcer called and reported it however they never came to fix it so we did have a broken fridge for 3 days also the room did not have any air conditioning so it was very hot.

Poorly maintained hotel

Pros: The staff at the front desk were very understanding.
Cons: Fix the elevators and the air conditioning.
Our party of seven (four adults and three children under the age of 12) arrived to check in and were told that the elevator did not work. Our daughter with the three kids was told her room was on the 6th floor....this was not our idea of a vacation - hauling kids and other stuff up and down six flights of stairs multiple times during the course of a day. In addition, her room did not have screens on the windows, so she would have been unable to open the windows for ventilation. Since the hotel does not have air conditioning, that was also unacceptable. We made other arrangements and left. We have asked for a refund for the room costs.

I booked this hotel for our family vacation (my husband our 3 kids and me). They put us on the 6th floor and then told us the elevator was broken. They had no rooms available on a lower level. We got up to our room and went to open the windows and saw that there were no screens! We then called another hotel and cancelled our reservations here.

Fantastic location, exceptional service!

Pros: I loved the size of the condo, the area, and the service.
Cons: The elevator was broken in our building.
We will go back to this place again without hesitation.

Pros: Kid friendly waves in front of hotel. Very spacious and clean.
Cons: Slats on windows were awkward to open and close. AC this time of year would have been nice. Pool was too hot.
Location: Closer to bays good for snorkeling .

Great location right on the beach.

Cons: They need to have umbrellas at the pool.
Location: Nice location on the beach with a mini market and a few restaurants directly across the street.
Nice place to stay for the price we paid. It wasn't anything too fancy but I get we expected.
