Our one week, all inclusive stay, was simple perfect. Great welcome by the team on arrival with fast check in to our lovely modern, bright and clean room. No TV in room as it's all about switching off from and that's exactly what we did. The property is only 2 years old so everything is just perfect, yet it looks well established. Choice of 2 beautiful pools with lots of loungers and day beds. There were organized sport activities and even complimentary glass bottom boat trips and snorkeling trips every day between 2pm and 3pm. Bars are great, wide choice of branded drinks. 2 themed restaurants which you had to book a day in advance which were fine (not amazing) and the main restaurant which was buffet style which was really excellent - great choice and variation of food each day. Best part of the hotel were the staff - everyone is every dept. could not do enough, amazing - very high level professional service. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, but please don't tell to many people - it's a gem.

Classy, white washed, cool hotel
This is a beautiful, classy hotel where a lot of thought has gone into the layout and design. It cries out for sun drenched days lounging around the pool which unfortunately we only got for half a day of our 2 night stay. The food is decent, staff attentive, and they are right on it with trying to be as sustainable as possible. Beach across the road is unspoilt and natural with some great snorkeling. Highly recommended.

Good hotel
The staff was friendly and the hotel was nice and comfortable. A short walk to the beach as well. Everything was good at the hotel, the only recommendation I have is that the check-in process is a bit slow so when you are tired after a long trip, you want to be able to have access to your room quick.

Great staff. Could hear traffic from room.
The staff were a bit let down by the hotel. Our room was very close to a busy road and the hotel was not easily accessible with a baby stroller. The staff really were excellent.

If you want a beach holiday this is for you there is nothing there just the beach it was a nice hotel and cleanish of room was excellent but the food is terrible we complained and so did other people we were told we could have menu B but nobody knew what it was also there isn't enough sun beds around the pool and on the beach as people hold them by putting towels on them around the pool and beach people were arguing over them it was terrible

Great location value for money
Our stay at Emerude was pleasant and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The hotel had a great menu for breakfast and dinner buffet. Entertainment was good however started a little late and was loud at times. The TV chanels and WiFi were great and the shower head was fantastic with plenty of preasure and hot water. Highly recommend it.

Great location & service
The staff at Emaurade was outstanding. They made sure that all of our questions were answered and they went above and beyond to see to it that our experience was wonderful. The beach is a short 1 minute walk across the road. It was quiet and away from the big resorts. The hotel arranged a taxi for us each night when we wanted to eat at local restaurants. I would recommend for a couple or a small family. Great atmosphere for a 3 star hotel.

Great cozy resort
Not too big nor too small, this resort has a cozy homey feel with a great location just opposite the beach. The town of Belle Mare is only a 10-15 min walk away through a beautiful green park right next to the ocean. Many great employees eg: Samy the bartender and some solicitous morning restaurant staff. Some surly spa staff and front desk clerk but they were the minority. The resort is very well maintained and any issues are dealt with immediately. No fuss. A return trip is a possibility indeed.

I had a pleasant stay. The 2 boys accompanying me found enough to do for the 1 and a half days we were there. Room was nice, but the blind between shower n beds did not afford much privacy. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner, there was enough variety to suit everyone's taste. We spent a lovely morning on the beach.

Granted the most frustrating part of our stay was our two boys (nearly 2 and nearly 4) not being accustomed to travel but it overshadowed our entire stay. The cuisine was naturally french and not something that our boys were accustomed to. Dinner started at 7pm and my boys typically eat about 5 or 6 at the latest and go to bed around 8. We chose the hotel because it seemed very child friendly with access to a beach and even having a little play area for kids with someone there to watch them during the day. we planned on leaving the boys and exploring the island a couple of the days we were there. Unfortunately we didn't find out till we arrived that they require a parent or guardian to remain with any child who is under 3 years old so we weren't able to explore on our own. We immediately realized the A/C wasn't blowing cold and asked someone to fix it. They sent a boy to show us how to work the remote...told us to give it some time to cool down and then they left. We went to dinner and returned over an hour later to a room that was still hotter inside than it was outside. When I checked out the receptionist had billed us for drinks for the whole week when we had paid for an all-inclusive stay. She said she would fix it and for me to come back before we took off for the airport. When I returned an hour later to settle they still had not fixed my bill. Overall it is a good hotel, not as kid friendly as we hoped and staff not terribly proficient.

From the late Arrival, and being treated like Royalty till the Check out time we had a fantastic stay. The staff was very helpfull, and engaged with us even away from the hotel. The meals was of a good Quality and we always had more than enough to eat.The Entertainment was also very nice, Loved the Sega and the Music evening, We will surely be back in the near Future... Staff Member Ilshaad(Assistant Front Desk Manager and Aniket the server at Dinner was awesome....

Pretty good hotel
Really liked this hotel, only real thing to mention is that you have to cross teh road to the beach, didnt realise this. Not an in your face hotel like some, nice and quiet and relaxed, pools are great. A/C unit had a leak when we arrived but soon fixed.

Ok hotel but the beach is across a busy road.
Upon arrival, the safe in our room was locked maintenance was called they accessed the safe using some sort of master key the next day money was stole from the safe. The incident was reported to the hotel management and the police however after a 10 day stay very little was done to investigate the matter. Afterwhich, the staff treated us like we were a nuisance to them, fake smiles and all - this put a big dampner on our holiday but the island is so beautiful it was easy to forget once on the beach. On the last day we had a part of our bill written off because we refused to pay the full bill anyway. The food is not great. We only ate dinner three times and on the third occasion there was a long strand of hair in the food - we had the baked dorodo fish with garlic butter sauce and vegetables- the fish was ok but everything else was bland no taste of garlic in the sauce and the vegetables were over cooked - that was last time we ate dinner at the hotel. The breakfast was ok - The crepes were particularly nice. The entertainment is repetitive if your there for more than a week - nothing spectacular. The pictures are a true reflection of the hotel grounds but the beach is across a busy road. The room was fairly clean but there were cobwebs, some broken fixtures and a blood stain on the blanket. There are two pools beside each other - both are small. Although the hotel is child friendly there is no actual children's pool-seldom saw children at the kids club.

My stay was good and relaxing.Staff were pleasant and helpful.Good family holiday. Hotel did try and be make it special over the Christmas with bringing Santa and giving good gifts to them for beach Christmas event and Xmas eve gala dinner. However there some improvements that can be done to improve the stay like a better service when on the beach for drinks and ensuring sufficent chairs and umbrellas for guests.Pillows in the standard room is scatter cushion size and not normal size pillows. The airconditioning can be better. Wi-fi only available in public area and not in room. The wifi was little poor.

Positives are; quieter stretch of beach, food good and varied, decent size rooms. House keeping staff were super with either flowers or a towel “animal” in the room every day. Room was tidy and clean. The spa ladies were lovely, friendly and very good at their job. We made a room request to have twin beds and this was done. Negatives; were a HUGE amount of PETTY RULES. We couldn’t get a bottle of water from the bar before 11am even if we were going down to the beach for the day. The sun loungers were the main issue, not enough of them for all of the guests, we were told that we couldn’t put them near the sea and they weren’t brought down to the beach until until 9am, even when there were 12/15 people stood on the beach waiting for one! There were not enough loungers for the guests so some guests were lying on towels in the sand. It created a situation where people were leaving towels under the umbrella to bag a lounger. The loungers were all collected in again at 4.30 even when there were customers wanting to stay on the beach for longer! Hence we couldn’t sit on a lounger at the coolest and most quiet times of the day. I heard guests making formal complaints about this. Other hotels nearby left theirs out overnight. The litter on the beach and in the grassy area behind the beach was terrible as all the beaches in Mauritius are public beaches and sadly the locals do not take their litter home or put it in the many bins available to them. Good and solid and only a few minor faults
The staff are very friendly and helpful and really go out of their way. Beautiful pool and garden area. 10 minute walk to Belle Mare. Only 1 hour by car to Grand Bay in the north or Blue Bay in the south east which are highlights on any Mauritius trip. Most catamarans and other sea excursions depart from these areas. The food at the resort is good with the buffet changing every day. Live entertainment every second night, showcasing the music of cultures found on Mauritius. Long unspoilt beach which is suitable for swimming but not ideal for snorkelling. No issues in walking across the adjoining 5-star resorts’ beaches as long as one stays near the water. The Emeraude resort and its beach are separated by a small and occasionally noisy road. This needs to be kept in mind for those that like to hang out at the pool but one cannot hear the road from the beach. Wi-Fi is only available in the restaurant, bar and pool area. In this day and age one would expect it in every room. Bar prices are high and servings small (but this is the same in all Mauritius resorts). Nice rooms but we had an issue with the solar panel on the roof, hence no hot water for quite a few days (they did fix it eventually). Also there was an occasional drain smell from the shower in the evenings, but nothing too bad. For a 3-star it did not disappoint and I had a really good time there, using it as a base to travel around the island. To stay at the resort all the time (any resort) would be missing out.

Great location, beach is right across the road.
We spent most of our time going out with friends and only used the hotel to sleep in, which worked very well. The actual area around the swimming pool is not too spacious but there is an amazing beach right across the road. Remember to use sunscreen or you will burn! Would not recommend this place for an all inclusive deal unless you are happy to stay in the same place for the duration of your holiday. High Street is only 15 minutes walk away, which is quite good too. Visit Pamplemousse Gardens on a sunny day. It's a drive away but really worth seeing. Huge tortoises and deer, giant water lilies, fruit trees.... Use plenty of mosquito spray or you will get nibbled on! If you have never been to Mauritius you should definitely go. It is paradise on earth. The scenery is beautiful, the authentic food is great and the sea just makes you forget all your troubles...

Relaxing break
Emeraude Beach Attitude was a beautiful, tranquil and relaxing Hotel. The staff were fantastic as was the food, with plenty of choice. The beach was right across the road where sun loungers were available. The rooms are in little 'villas' and were extremely comfortable, best nights sleep assured. You are woken in the morning to the singing of the birds and can sit outside your room to enjoy a quiet drink. There is a taxi service right outside the hotel to take you on trips.

Beautiful hotel near the beach. The staff are really friendly. There is not a wide variety of food. It is far from any form of transport can be very expensive If you wish to explore the island because it's remote position.

We stayed at hotel Emeraude, Room 202, in June 2014. We stayed for ten days, and we had friends nearby. Hotel Emeraude is on the east coast of Mauritius, and is ideally situated for those wishing for the benefit of Mauritian beaches. Upon arrival, we were greeted with fresh cold drinks by hotel staff, which was nice. I enjoyed the continental breakfasts each day. We chose for half board as we would be seeing our friends quite a lot of the time. The hotel staff were very friendly, and the manager was frequently on site, and very friendly. The hotel has two swimming pools, a games room with pool, and a great cocktail bar. There is also a spa. The beach is connected to the main belle mare beach, but the section in front of the hotel is for guests only, and is well maintained. We particularly enjoyed the free glass bottom boat and snorkelling trip from the hotel's diving centre; plenty to do. Our stay coincided with the 2014 world cup, and we watched a few games in the bar, on a large projected screen. We intend to use this hotel again; the level of quality service we experienced is among the best we gave had.

Small hotel across road from BelMar beach
Disappointed with hotel. It is not really an "international" hotel but is instead a place to experience a french package holiday. The facilities are rather cramped but attractive. The pool area was nice. Our air conditioner was ineffective while the food was very poor. Most staff were excellent, particularly reception. The bar selection was very limited and the draught beer seemed to be diluted. The evening cultural show was surprisingly good. Not easy to get to other restaurants without a taxi. The beach looks nice but a lot of the coral is dead. There are better places to stay in Mauritius.

Employés très sympathiques et serviables pour la plus part et dévoués aux clients. Cet hôtel étant ressent il manque de couleurs, fleurs, arbres et plantes exotiques / vous devriez marquer l’entrée par des haies de vetias, foxtels, oiseaux de paradis géants,heliconias,Alpinias etc… donner cette impression de rentrer dans un univers tropical / j’aurais rajouter des palmiers royaux en bordure côté route et 2 ou 3 arbres du voyageur contre les façades , donnant ainsi une chaleur tropicale. La chose qu’il manque est le service en chambre qui ne se fait pas en général mais bien souvent les clients aiment profiter de leur séjour et faire des choses qu’ils ne font au quotidien chez eux.La literie est très bonne. Un bon potentiel pour l’avenir j’en suis sûre.
