Good hotel for a short stay in Mayagüez

Posted Jan 23, 2017
Pros: It has all the basics for a few layovers while in or around town, and at a reasonable price.
Cons: They have very little staff, and it can delay service.
Perfect for a short stay. Rooms are spacious, bathrooms are clean, and you even get free wi-fi. It is located right next to the town square ("la plaza" in Spanish) in a building from the beginning of the 20th Century that was formerly a Catholic rectory for the local priests (this info from a 2007 newspaper article they exhibit at the lobby). Thus, on the one hand, it makes for an interesting stay right in the middle of town. But, on the other, you should be aware that it's going to be noisy from all the normal activities around town, and specially during the weekends (cars, bars with some loud music, and even some gardening at 4AM on Sunday). It has a spacious parking lot right next to the hotel for only $5 a night.

Son's graduation with the in laws

Stayed for 2 nights. Conveniently located near restaurants, theather, town plaza, university, etc. Ricomini Bakery is specially good for breakfast and is open till late in the evenings. The hotel is in the middle of Mayagüez so almost everything is nearby

Well located place and comfy.

Posted Dec 31, 2016
The place is well located in the heart of Mayagüez and the parking and bakeries shop are just outside which is great. The hotel room beds are comfortable but the bad thing that the AC unit can't be controlled. So you will be freezing to death there every time. But other thanks that everything is great. Also a major big point is that if you are looking for a quite place at night this might not be the place. Since there is always loud music and street parties at night until 5am you might it be able to sleep peacefully. But other than that is a great place to stay.

Comfort

Posted Dec 1, 2016
It was short but a good one they had great service and no waiting to be attended by the personnel. The parking is super easy access and they have a bakery and a ice crem shop next to the hotel. It was a good price even it was booked at last minute. Rooms have great beds and no matter is next to the road barely you hear cars or other things.

Affordable hotel right in the heart of Mayaguez

Posted Nov 20, 2016
Hotel room was clean. I really disliked the fact they eliminated the continental breakfast. That was a real bummer the first morning we were expecting. Now you can order food and they'll cook it right there. I have to recommend the food place at the diagonal corner across the street. Food is great and a lot cheaper. BEWARE!!!... starting Thursday's through the weekend the clubs all open up and this is completely a college town .... the kids spill out into the streets to the point by that you almost cannot drive through . Inside the hotel room until 2am you can hear the club music over the tv! Wish I would have had earplugs. During the week you won't have this problem but if you need silence when you sleep like me, on the weekends you'll have a hard time.
