Staff were very helpful. Good standard accommodation. Free parking.(Beware of the phrase Hotels appear to have adopted when they have no parking - 'Self Parking'. This means you have to go and find somewhere to park yourself, often at great expense.)

Pros: Easy to find.
Cons: Complete redecoration. There is no comparison with the Campanile at Blois.
Location: There was a Buffalo Bill restaurant across the road and Lavel was an interesting place with river trips during the summer.
Needs redecoration outside and inside. Room small - staff worked very hard, seemed to be a lack of staff over the weekend we were staying. Restaurant not open on a Sunday and we were not informed of this fact.

Pros: Location and value for money
Location: Laval & Mayenne are within easy reach by car Next door to hotel is an excellent "Buffalo Grill" again staff speak good English
This hotel is a cosy basic hotel with excellent cleanliness Facilities are more than adequate Staff are extremely friendly and some speak excellent English when my French became rusty!

I had to stay in Laval for couple nights, as my culinary course was going to start late on saturday in another city. Some of the staff speaks english very well and they were very helpful and friendly to me as I got there. When I booked the hotel I wasn't looking for luxury or fineness but something clean and close to the train station, which took me on a cab about 10 min and cost me 12 euros. My room had a very good shower and very comfy bed. The only thing they don't have any english channel on the TV, only french channels but that's not a big deal, I had a quite night and didn't hear any cars or noise from the streets. If you need to buy luggage or any other thing there is a big Carrefour super market just 3 min walking where you can find food, clothes and so on.

literie peu confortable (trop ferme), lampe de chevet cassée, propre mais un peu triste! bon pour une soirée mais pas pour un séjour vue sur un hangar en tôle et très sombre.

We have stayed in many Campnanile Hotels over the years and actively seek them out when travelling. Laval was disappointing. The general impression was that 'corners were being cut' in the interests of economy. There was litter on the stairs to the room. The pillow cases on the spare pillows had not been changed after the previous guests and the face flannels in the bathroom were slightly damp, as if the had not been changed. We arrived on a Sunday night and there were not many guests in the hotel or restaurant. The plat de jour was chicken and rice. I suspect that the chef had prepared a quantity of rice as it was served with another main dish in place of the accompaniments indicated on the menue and requested. The waitress, in fairness, did offer to change it after we had complained. At breakfast the croissants were stale.

Well located especially if you are heading north. Rooms equivelant to Premier Inn standards. Handy "Buffallo Bill" (Ala TGI Friday's) restaurant next door.

rapport qualité prix ok pour la chambre le confort et le petit dejeuner .Mieux vaut oublier les diners c es tla 2 eme fois que je viens et cça laisse vraiment à désirer
