Rustic and charming

Posted Jan 23, 2018
The hotel is a very steep walk from the town plaza. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. I parked my car without any problem. There were few if any additional guests. Our room was well designed and reflected the woodsy nature of Mazamitla. The gardens were very impressive lush with lemon and avocado trees. No one spoke English in the office which was not a problem for us. They gave us a coupon for a breakfast at another inn in the plaza. Although I think we caught them by surprise, they made us a nice breakfast of eggs, ham and toast with very decent coffee. There was good WiFi in our room and a TV with Spanish language programming. It was crisp and quiet at night. I did not light the wood in the fireplace but it was ready if you wanted to. There did not seem to be any restaurant or bar in operation on site but perhaps this was due to the season. It was a good place to spend the night and I was not disappointed. The electric outlets were two prong which might be a problem if you have to charge devices.

We are pleased to know that I enjoy your stay in Mazamitla and Huerta Real. That's right, in low season due to costs, we can not offer breakfast at the Hotel, that's why a coupon is given to have breakfast at a restaurant in town, I pass your comments to them about breakfast. We regret the inconvenience with English, we only have 2 bilingual people, we are already training the rest of the reception staff so that everyone speaks English. We hope that for your next visit to Mazamitla, and all the staff will be bilingual.

Pros: I loved the complimentary breakfast! It was a full on meal, not just bagel and a coffee
Location: It is about 2 blocks from the church and near by restaurants, great location.
The landscaping is beautiful! Had a great view from my room..

Convenient, beautiful view a delicious breakfast!

We were there for a wedding so it was convenient and practical for us. Grate location, beautiful views and delicious food! Rooms had a fireplace which was a nice touch. The 2 not so good points were that the sun light hit one side of the bed directly so no way to sleep in and it took them a while to figure out I had prepaid.

Nice place with an inaccurate hotel description.

Posted Sep 2, 2015 on Hotels
Overall, I was pleased with this hotel and would stay there again. The property is beautiful and the location in Mazamitla is nice. But, I should point out that the room description on hotels.com at the time of my reservation was not accurate. For example, the room that I reserved is referred to as an "Alcatraz" room listed as having a kitchen, LED television, and a king-sized bed. Upon arrival at the hotel, I learned that Alcatraz is the name given to one room. This room has a queen sized bed plus a daybed. The room doesn't have an oven, stove, microwave, or refrigerator. This wasn't a problem for me, but it might be for someone reserving the room who really wanted a kitchen.

Muy bonito, cómodo, buenos servicios

Posted Feb 8, 2018
