The Ramada is a very nice hotel.

However during my 30 years of visits to Mazatlán I had passed by the Ramada thinking it to be a very conservative place. In respect, our room was very nice and the staff were very attentive. What was a big let down was the fact that its dining area was rather dated. Its many Palappas in the outside dining area were a big inconvenience, the steel chairs scratched upon the stone floors and worst of all the floor was covered in bird poop. Yes indeed there were lots of birds to contend with at the dining area, mainly pigeons. Turn your back and they were on your plate. Should the table leave together to go to the buffet - the birds were at your table in a flash. The room layouts at first site looked good with the winding passages giving you a look of privacy, However they also gave cause for lots of noise to be transferred into your room. So I figure we will not stay there again until at least the dining area is fixed up and a BIG attempt is made to keep the birds away from the area - yikes even at the buffet.
