Hotel is located in the heart of plaza machado. Beautiful entrance with functioning water fall for amazing pictures. The rooms were full suites with kitchen, living room area. Beds are so uncomfortable and bed sheets are no good. Comforter super outdated and i hesitated to get under the sheets. Very calm atmosphere during the week or none holidays. During holidays super noisy.

The property is located close to the Plaza Machado and the beach. The room has good space for a family of 6. The hotel doesn’t offer parking space. My only disappointment was the dirty sheets from the bed, pillows and curtains. Management should definitely be checking the rooms and make sure sheets, pillows and curtains are clean. Other than that I really liked the location

Truly a classic old Mexico with inter-courtyard with open area, fountain and trees. Staff was extremely helpful and bi-lingual. Big plus is location in historic downtown. Only 1-1/2 blocks from Plaza Machado with many excellent restaurants.

I love style and people who works there. I didn't see if the hotel has its own restaurant, I was in a rush, but definitely I will come back to this hotel.

Very pleased with location. Everything was within walking distance. Suite had a nice set up. Check-in staff was available beyond time listed and he was very kind. Price was good. Liked the security of the hotel. No one could leave or enter without a key. Parking within was only concern but was able to park across hotel with staff watching overnight. No laundry facility available for use but still very pleased.

The studio was wonderful! It has a kitchen and seating area separate from the bedroom. Water pressure in the shower was great! Staff was friendly. Lots to do in the area

Towels and linens were dirty. There was pubic hair on the bed, bathroom walls. There was roaches and other bugs. I was disgusted to even use the covers. Wouldn’t stay there ever again.

Lovely colonial flair with lots of flowers and plants in the courtyard, friendly staff Very spacious and nice furnished apartment There was no coffeemaker in the kitchen Internet did not work at all, in the morning, the router seemed to be totally dead.

Soundproof windows and good internet would help.
Excellent location for tourists looking to explore the city center. Same applies to business trips. Not so great if you want a good night’s sleep. The air conditioning worked like a charm, though.

Great location. Room was very spacious and clean. The area is noisy at night, it did not bother me but take ear plugs if needed. Wifi can be slow but works better outside the room.

Esta en muy bonita zona pero a mi en lo personal me toco el de la esquina y es el que tiene las ventanas Asia afuera todo el ruido de carros gente música en vivo que toda la noche no puede dormir es por eso no lo recomiendo en especial este cuarto no se si los otros son iguales toda la noche estuvo la tambora aquí en mi esquina muchas gracias por escucharme

La verdad por ser carnaval , el ruido estaba en todos lados del hotel, y si la habitación que te toco es una de las que se puede llegar a escuchar mas ruido, una disculpa por eso, y saludos!!!!

The location & exterior/gardens were great! The suite was out dated & not very clean. I can go a long go along with older furnishings if suite extremely clean. The suite allowed water to enter when rainEd hard in the living room. The antique table was great but the wrought iron base was filthy. Kitchen poorly supplied. The bedding was not changed in the 10 days there. The bathroom tiling around toilet & Vanity has not been washed in long time. The front of vanity never wiped down as had toothpaste & water lines down front. Towels & bath mats more holes & shredded then cloth on occasions. On numerous occasions went down to office & no one around! Management needs more hands on in hotel!

The property was in an awesome location! Very close to beach and historic centre! Charming courtyard, no gym or restaurant service. Clean & basic accommodations. Very noisy street level and traffic outside bedroom. Great for 2 nights to explore downtown.

The entire property is in need of updating. The pictures look a lot nicer than the actual product. We only stayed 2 nights so we made do but certainly would not recommend for a long stay. Sheets were clean but with some stains and the pillows need to be replaced. The mattress was ok but the box springs was very old and worn. The towels actually felt new and were white and clean. There was hair on the floor of the bathroom and it just did not have an overall clean feeling or appearance. Mirror had not been cleaned. The property has lovely high ceilings and the location is perfect if you want to be in the middle of Centro. Window overlooks busy noisy sreet across from a parking lot but once again if it’s just location you are looking for it’s great.

Staff was great! Unfortunately this property is located in a very busy area and my room was on the street level. Lots of street noise including trucks blaring music all night long. Would be a nice place to otherwise.

My ostrage skin boots stolen from the room, we reported it to the Hotel manager. Noting was done to look for them or ask the employees very dissatisfied with this Hotels protocol of stolen items.

The Melville is located in an old convent built in the 1800s. I loved the inner courtyard and the ancient bougainvilleas that climbed past the second story. Birdsong from my inner balcony was a wonderful compliment to my morning coffee. This property was recently sold to new owners. In May (2019), a full remodel of the guest suites will begin. New furniture. Better beds. I totally comfortable as it was when I stayed there in April 2019 but I am anxious to visit when I go back in November to see some of the newly remodeled rooms. I highly recommend The Melville. GREAT location. Great staff. And a true touch of Mazatlán history. A treasure. Stay there!

This is authentic Mexico. Beautiful inner courtyard, large rooms. It is an older property with older furnishings, but clean and well cared for.
