The room was just okay. We were a multi day stay, and the linens were not changed, only two towels provided, half a roll of toilet paper, and no coffee pods for the machine. We will not return.

The heater and television did not work. The air transfer system was questionable. We had to request linen (towels and face cloths). Coffee was not present but became available upon request. There was no housekeeping. There were no bars on the bathtub and our friend who rented the room next to ours felt nervous using the shower. Overall, the place was clean but I do not think I would consider a return visit.

Great location, but could use some improvements
My friend and I stayed two nights at the Meaford Inn over a weekend. There is not a reception desk or lobby, so the owner/manager met us in our room to check us in (he saw us arrive). Our room was clean, however the undersides of the bedspreads were not very clean. They looked dirty, but it was unclear whether they were just stained or if they were actually dirty. The blanket and sheets were clean. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were pretty flimsy. The towels were very thin and scratchy and we only got 2 bath towels and 2 washcloths. There were no hand towels. The location is great! Right in downtown Meaford, so we didn't have to drive to get to restaurants. My advice to the management would be to get new bedspreads and some better pillows and towels. I would have rated this inn much higher with those improvements.

Would not recommend. Check in was very unprofessional. Having to ring an outside bell & then holler requests up to second floor balcony is unacceptable behaviour for conducting business with guests. Definitely will not be back!

The beds are newer and comfortable. Sheets were clean. Blankets are old and bedspreads are dark in colour. No identification was verified at check in. Anyone could stay there as long as they have a credit card. Walking with a cane and there was no parking the 1st night so had to park on street and walk in. 2nd night we did get a spot in the lot but still not by room. The restaurant had a loud band playing outside. The staff is friendly and attempts to be helpful. This is a one star motel and is over-priced.

Adorable Meaford Inn
Amazing classic inn ! Super accommodating hosts. Clean room with lots of extras. Great pub in front. Beautiful lakefront park a block away. I would definitely stay here again.

I liked that it was right downtown . I didn't like not being able to watch t.v without the program I was watching being interrupted by youtube and the managers phone. Also the bedding was very damp from the a.c running all day.I would not stay there again.

I am hiking the Bruce trail and found this place to be very conveniently located, it is clean, private and quiet. A diner is on site but have not teied it. Do not expect luxury.
