Good for the price

Pros: Price
Cons: Location
Location: Far from main attraction
Room is spacious and cool AC. Staff need more training in customer service and friendliness. Water supply was off for three hours. Transportation to mosque was unreliable.

Pros: Shuttle to Kaaba
Cons: Almost everything

Broken air condition. Not helpful staff, they do not even call any taxi cab. No internet at all. 15 min. distance to Haram Area by car.

Poor service

Posted May 26, 2012
Pros: Shuttle
Cons: Almost everything
Location: Takes around 10-15 min. by car to get to Kaabe.
The air condiiton is not working properly in every room. It says, free (high speed) wifi but there is no intenet at all, not even in business room or front desk (at least there was not any while we were staying). They do not call taxi if you request, they tell you to walk to the street (almost around 1/2 - 1 km) under the sun. The only good think is their shuttle to Kaaba. This is the only way to reach Kaaba. At check out, they did not accept us to pay with master card or visa, they told us to pay only cash at this 5 star hotel. Overall, It does not deserve to be 5 star hotel with this weak service, not more than 3 star.

Domestic and primitive

I wasted to hours in a Taxi trying to find the hotel Even after enquiring from another Mercure hotel about the address, finally in the hotel, no taxi service, and you cannot change money with hotel’s cashier nor anywhere else so you better do that in the airport, hotel staff are not cooperative and clumsy. The room was so small with one miserable window facing a wall.

You can find much better hotels than this one

Honestly hospitality isn't that good. The hotel is too far from the Holy Mosque. The price isn't worth the service. I could've taken the Meridien Hotel for the same price and much much better service and close to the Holy Mosque. I was in a hurry and I booked online. That's why my choice wasn't a success.
