Positano Hotel is a charming hotel, with a very nice owner. Rooms were large, had amenities and were comfortable. The grounds are lovely and would make a nice setting for a reception or party. However, it is located right on the freeway-and the noise is constant. It also if too far from any attractions to get to quickly. It requires either a bus ride-which is pretty easy, but costs every time or at least a 30-40 minute walk (to get to Cabo attractions or beach). We spent a great deal of time walking and really wished we had rented a car. If you are getting a package deal that only costs a few more dollars a day for a car-go for it. One little tip-there is a charming Mercado a block or so down the road that has two ladies that will cook for you to order at a very reasonable price. We had them make us a torta and they wrapped it up so we could go to the beach for the day -it only cost 40 pesos, a great deal and the ladies are very sweet. You can pick up water and other snacks there or walk to Walmart which is 1+ mile away.

We were at ME Cabo over spring break with 10 of my friends. I was responsible of arranging our stays. I was in contact with Leticia to make reservations for 3 rooms. After making at least 5 calls to Mexico and trying to arrange the payments, I realized that it was not going to work this way because the hotel was constantly postponing our payments... So I went ahead and booked with Expedia at the end which eventually turned out to be a better deal.
Over Expedia I specified expecially, and called the hotel to confirm, that we needed two queen beds in every room and they approved our request. However, when we went to the hotel they still gave us rooms with one King beds even though we were paying extras for the third and fourth persons. Thankfully, they were able to manage relocating us to rooms that we had requested initially.
The hotels pool and beach serivce was really good. The Blue Marlin Ibiza looked really promising, but because the hotel was relatively empty, there wasn't anyone partying or drinking except for my group.
Overall, we had fun because we were a big group but at the end of the day it didn't really satisfied my expectations as a "happening" hotel.

My overall experience was great. The food, pools, rooms, beach was all great. My only negative is that the service is really slow. When we ordered food it would take already an hour to receive. If they can up to faster service I would give them a 5.

Upon check in you are greeted with a cocktail, everyone gets a towel key (they are very anal about the pool towels) so don't lose that towel key. When you walk into your room the bar has 4 bottles ready for you to start drinking. They mean when they say All inclusive. They have a few pools. the ones at the center of the resort are to relax, drink, play a game of Volleyball. The pools by the beach are the "fun" pools. They have a few restaurants that open at 6 pm daily that have a variety of different food. The posole was my favorite. The concierge was helpful and helped us plan our excursions. The security there I have mixed feelings about. The beach is right by the "fun" pool. You can lay out and take pictures at the beginning of the water. They have tons of vendors there. Over all I would stay there again or try Riu Palace as it is right next door.
