Great trip, beautiful place!

Pros: the staff, rooms, decor, pool, overall feeling....
Cons: More options with room service, no timeshare breakfasts.....not much more, it's a nice place,
Location: We didn't go out much because of the heat....stayed at resort....next tike i would never go in July.
We love this resort and have been here 3 times with our young children. I usually NEVER write reviews, but because of the extreme hospitality, beautiful hotel/pool/etc, I feel it deserves the acknowledgement. The staff is so kind and they work so very hard to ensure you are happy. The only complaint I have is the "timeshare breakfast" we attended. I hated it. This was the first time we agreed to go, and it was a total mistake. It basically ate up our entire day. They were late starting, and it took WAAAY too long. I felt super exhausted afterwards, and we ended up not doing anything else for the rest of the day......I felt pressured when we were on vacation......I didn't like the feeling AT ALL. Aside from that, it was a great trip. July is too hot, but that was our mistake in planning. Villa La Estancia is actually where we were this time (right next door) and it was even better than Arco in terms of room niceness, but Arco's pool is more fun so the kids wanted to be there. Thank you for everything.

OK - Not a true "All-Inclusive"

Pros: Beautiful room from the 7th floor penthouse.
Cons: The All-Inclusive plan seemed very restrictive. We hated signing tickets for every single thing we got.
Location: Location was good. We probably could have walked to town, but we got a cab every time.
Nice hotel, nice pools, close to beach although tide in the evenings prohibit any beach activity. There seemed to be so many stipulations with the All-Inclusive plan. 24 hour room service turned out to be drinks only between 6:00 PM - 7:00 AM. No food served until 7:00 AM so if you book an early excursion, plan on buying food in town. The fridge is only stocked with the "honor system" water/drinks. You have to get the "free" water from a restaurant downstairs. The "honor system" basket was never refilled. Every single time you get food, water, beer, or anything you must sign a ticket. We have been to many All-Inclusive resorts and this one was the most difficult one with so many rules and stipulations. When we arrived at the resort around 1:30 we asked to up-grade from the 2 bedroom villa if there was availability. They offered the 7th floor penthouse that was 3,000 sq ft. They took us upstairs to see if we liked it. It was huge, super clean and had the most beautiful view! We agreed to the extra charge. They would not allow us in until 4:00 which is the check-in time. We have never had to wait if a room was clean and ready. This penthouse was definitely ready, but they told us a supervisor had to approve that it was clean. Although the resort was clean, I would not stay again.

Love Villa Del Arco!!

What a great experience! The food is great!! The location is great! The staff is AMAZING! Just beware.. their All Inclusive isn't exactly ALL inclusive.. they're no free wifi.. lyou get charged for the drinks/snacks that are in your room... it's an Honor Bar...and there are numerous exceptions to their All Inclusive... so you just have to watch carefully. Other resorts I've stayed at had maybe a handful of extra charge items, VDA seemed to have A LOT more!! Other than that... Villa Del Arco is Great!!!!! I would definitely stay there again!

Beachfront pleasure

Pros: Food, location and spa and pool area.
Location: The location is very close to everything, mostly with a short taxi ride or a walk. Dowtnown restaurants and bars, and the office and Mango deck.
I was very pleased with the overall facilities especially the gym, spa, the pool area, beachfront location, and the restaurants. Rooms are very nice and spacious unless you get a deluxe studio, which says for up to three people but its only a Large king bed. Not very pleased that we were given a deluxe studio when we reserved a room for three people. We did get a rollaway bed for my daughter but took up a lot of space in the room. We went with a large group all inclusive and had an amazing time. My favorite restaurant was El Patron. Food was amazing and we enjoyed eating breakfast there as well daily. We were able to utilize the Villa De Palmar as well which has a fabulous sushi restaurant and the Italian La Bella restaurant was very nice as well. I would highly recommend this place for a family vacation. Only complaint I have is that my daughter and her friend who had the all inclusive bracelets, were rudely asked by a worker there named Thomas to leave the pool as they are not guests of the Arco. He repeatedly kept telling the girls to get out of the pool and leave until they said do you need us to show you the key to prove it. He was my only complaint about the facility. Very rude of him to question our girls and demand to see a room key. Otherwise, all the other staff was very accommodating, friendly and respectful. Axel and Freddy were our pool waiters and Daniel was a great server at the taco bar....

"Upgraded" to Villa del Esperanza

Pros: Location was good, but all of the guests attending the wedding were at Villa del Arco, which is where we made the reservation.
The hotel staff "upgraded" us to Villa del Esperanza. The room reserved at Villa del Arco was to have a small kitchenette with all appliances and utensils. Room at Villa del Esperanza was a B unit (deluxe studio), which was attached to a very lovely A unit via a door. The deluxe studio unit had a shared balcony, two queen beds and no amenities other than a tv. No in room coffee maker. Request was made several times with the reservations for a king bed. At check in we were told that no king bed rooms were available, but the next morning we had the option of moving to a room with a king bed at the cost of an extra $100 per night. We declined the extra cost, due to the already high cost of the room. Maid service was not provided on the second day. We had to empty our own garbage can, which was only 1 small garbage can in the bathroom. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. The pillows were hard and uncomfortable. Sharing the balcony with the guests in the larger A unit was not pleasant. In our opinion, the "upgrade" was actually quite a "downgrade".

Wonderful family vacation and care

Pros: Great staff and extra mile for friendliness and service facilities are incredibly maintained,
Cons: Checking out pool towels and seemed a little juvenile for an all inclusive resort. It would be nice to just pick up a towel.
Location: Set right on a swimmable beach with water sports right there and a short walk into town. Great pools and restaurants.
We visited Cabo with 10 of us in our family for a family get away. Villa Del Arco was a fantastic place to be for all of us.from our oldest children and their significant others to our youngest who were still in their early teens. The staff was always so helpful and friendly. They always greeted us and did everything they could to be sure our stay was perfect.

Family trip

Amazing facility, grew views swimming on beach the staff at front desk is helpful but always in a hurry and wants to always rush you off. If you have never been to cabo this is place to go. Always barter with people for prices on beach.

Staff was the best!!

I don't write reviews but I had to after my visit... I just have to say the staff was amazing from the time we checked in to the time we left ..... the food was delicious hotel was very very clean sobwas the pool area ..... I'll be going back next year!!

Gorgeous hotel right on the beach

Staff goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and fun. Food is firt rate and many dining options. Beach side service and close to downtown Cabo. Can't ask for more from this resort!
