I could live here forever...
I really enjoyed my stay ,free breakfast,clean room.They put new sheets on the bed for me !I really hated to leave this place.It felt so much like home.They greeted me each day with ," Have breakfast " "Have you had breakfast ? " Service with a smile , they really cared.

Totally dated
Staff super friendly as usual. However, the hote has not been renovated at all in ages, even thou the area is booming in visitors from everywhere around the world.

good stay in the old part of the city
Fine hotel, very reasonable price. Speak Spanish or have a translator (google translator will suffice), the management and most of the help only speak spanish. Need a land-line? Turn left out the door, go half a block for a good price. Church? Turn right, go a block for 7, 8, 9 o'clock daily Mass. Located in an older and more beautiful part of town. Not near the airport, but the hotel may provide an airport pickup. Plenty of available restaurants and transportation. See (and climb?) the 'Rock'. Shop in the huge open market in the city (Huelco - the 'hole'). Taxi's are inexpensive, the elevator train to the center of Medellin is within walking distance. Spring all-year-round. No elevator if you need one. Air conditioned with cable TV. Cuidado! - when crossing the avenues, pedestrians do not have the right-of-way!

HOTEL STAY
I DO NOT recommend this Hotel to anyone. The best and ONLY good thing about it was the PERSONNEL super nice and friendly and the location. The owner needs to change really everything, premises are very old and every day there was a problem inside my room The rest was bad !

Quaint inexpensive friendly hotel with good breakf
The hotel is located in a nice area with many restaurants and all types of shopping. While there were some funky elements, the key point is that I came back to this hotel later in my trip. The cost was reasonable especially compared to others and the breakfast buffet was good. Not only would I stay there again - I did.

Hotel located near restaurants great area
Had reservations since Feb 17 upon arrival on September 2017 I was told they had a problem with the reservation And we were sent to another hotel next to it with no AC no windows poor cleaning not a very good place to stay I refuse to stay there therefore they send me to a third-floor I'm at 66 years old and the place has no elevator I was very upset and therefore they send me about five days later to a first floor to a suite there's no such thing no hot water TV didn't work and AC only work for part of the room too close the one bed and nothing for the rest I do not recomend this hotel the guys in the restaurants were very good good servers good attention but the rest of the hotel it's a NO ☹️ there is a lot of other good hotels around like the Lincoln and many others that you will see on 70 St. there was a convention or 50 people from Puerto Rico to see the pope I do believe they give preference to that group and ignore my reservation

Nice hotel close to restaurants, night clubs.
This is a nice hotel for the price. The food was okay but the staff is great very friendly. The food was fine but you can find good restaurants very close to this hotel. Do not forget to bargain. We were over charge in one of our trip and it was one of the counter person who organized the trip. In other words, ask different tour companies before you buy a package. After been there 11 days they charged us for a tooth brush we used that cost only 20 cents in US dollars. Do not use any product they placed in your room. One of the front desk employee set us a trip that cost us 5 times the regular price. So please before you go on a tour ask different companies.

Didn't have my CONFIRMED room,
Arrived at night and they did not have my reservation. Showed them my EXPEDIA confirmation and they told me they were sold out. Sent me to a hotel next door. Very small room, NOT like the photos for the Laureles. Checked out for good the next day and ate the three additional nights that I prepaid. Not a good experience

I must said that i was not expecting for my stay to be so great, yes the room did not looked manything like the pics on the site but it was comfortable and kept cleaned by the time i came back from breakfast. The entired personnel was great and very attentive. My only con was being charged for a couple of items that was missing from this little basket of goodies they have in every room I mention this items the first day and was still charged, and of course my reservation was for two adults and i was traveling alone but still wanted that option and one day a friend came too pick up some gifts and stayed about two hours and i was charged for an extra guess. That just blew my mind.so beware of those charges other than that i will definetely stay here on my next visit...

I will definitely make this my place to stay....
Omg this hotel was excellent for my visit I was very hesitant to choose a hotel since it was my first visit to Medellin but all that changed the minute I was greeted by Paola at the front desk, everyone was so attentive and warm and the bellman/restaurant attendat jhonjairo was quite the caracter love, love this place. The hotel was by all means nothing like the pictures but it was plenty if you never been to a third world coutry you might not get it, but the price and the excellent service will definitelly bring me back.. Yes a bit noisy on the weekends due to a close by club but it is the best action area in Medellin if you want quiet stay in Poblado pay the extra money and be bored to death. Jajajaja Area is full of life and everything is withing walking distance, its very safe but as with every country use good judgement when out on the street... I walk and used taxi/uber everywhere and it was all good. Also cant leave out the housekeeping staff right on point the moment i walk out of the room they got right on it to get it serviced.. Five star service on a not quite 3 star hotel.. Again loved it... Good luck and enjoy all that Medellin has to offer...

We were greeted w warm, enthusiastic and professional service and it continued until the second we left. The staff were fantastic and made you feel happy being around them. The room had everything we needed as well as a comfy bed, air conditioning and daily cleaning. The location is phenomenal. Don't stay in Poblado, it's a tourist trap, Laureles is 10X better.

Budget Hotel for sure
If you are a woman staying by yourself, it's probably not a good idea to stay here. The staff were pleasant (brush up on your Spanish. Only 1 bellboy spoke English. Even the front desk receptionist didn't understand a word of English)and tried really hard to make it a pleasant stay. The best thing about it was the breakfast. Absolutely delicious. The rest of the stay, though, was sketchy. My door to the outside didn't close properly and had to be jimmied shut. The glass didn't completely connect with the frame so if someone wanted to break in, it was pretty easy. The lighting made it very dismal. There was a tube running from the air conditioner in the bedroom to the shower that ran water all night. If you can't sleep with the sounds of dripping water, tough luck. This also meant there was always a layer of stagnant water on the shower floor. The door has 2 locks on the inside. Only one will protect you because the other can be easily slipped open from the outside. The WIFI was really good. I almost hate to write negative things about this place because the staff really did their best but I wish someone had been more clear in their review so that I wouldn't have stayed there as a single woman, not knowing anyone in Medellin and coming for work. By the time I realized I wouldn't be comfortable, all the other hotel options in Medellin were booked up. If you're the bag-packing or couch surfing across the world type of traveler, this is the perfect place for you.

Booked this hotel with Expedia after searching for a nice hotel, with good location, and yet economical this time. Went a bid skeptical, as there were not much recent reviews but was pleasantly surprised again with a hotel in Medellin. Check in was fast and effective, although hotel did not have an elevator we went in to the room where we were quickly provided some info about the hotel. Bathroom and room was clean each and every time after room was cleaned, which for me was a very important point to address in a hotel. Breakfast was good although limited, but good enough to hold you till noon. Surrounding the hotel there are several small restaurants, and even an Exito Supermarket about 3 block away. During the day the carrera 70 looked dead, but at night it took a whole new life, with pubs,restaurants, bars opening to give the strip a whole new life

Great staff!
The service and the attention of the staff is what makes this hotel a good place to stay. The staff is friendly and attentive. As long as you are not looking for luxury because the rooms are small. Breakfast was included. The food was well prepared but choices are limited. The hotel is located on a street with lots of restaurants, banks, casinos, discotheques and lots of street vendors. .The convenience of these amenities make it a benefit but be prepared for some noisy evenings especially on the weekends.The Metro is within walking distance and an easy way to travel within the city. The price was economical for what you get. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for value and being in the heart of the action.

This hotel is in a great location, the rooms are clean, the staff is very professional, however, the restaurant is really bad. The breakfast is mediocre and I got food poison from a sandwich I ordered the night before my return to the States. I did not like the taste of the sandwich, but I ate about half of it. In a couple of hours I was deadly sick. I threw up all night and had to run to the bathroom very frequently. I have been home two days and I still feel sick to my stomach.

Family feel
Hotel is in a great area for getting around. Ten minutes walk to the metro station. Taxis really cheap. Hotel have a number of staff who speak English and they are always very helpful and kind. Breakfast is good as yet we have not taken any other meals here.
