A Good Economical Hotel in the area

Posted Aug 15, 2015
Pros: The staff were extremely nice, polite and helpful. They provided assistance in locating dry cleaning and laundry facilities.
Cons: The sink's hot and cold water valves were tricky The cold water valve shut by being rotated CCW, and the hot had no mechanical stop (on-off-on-off).
Location: Easy highway access, next door to a great local diner. Access to the city of Grants Pass and the Rogue River was good.
A Good economical hotel that accomplishes a comfortable bed to sleep in and shower to cleanup. The complimentary breakfast was average. For the price, it was a good value (half the price quoted by others in the area during the same time period).

Not what we expected

Posted Aug 9, 2015
Pros: Easy access from the freeway
Cons: Get the smoke out of the rooms.
Location: Grants Pass is a gateway to many natural wonders. I love this town and country.
The room reeked of cirgarette smoke. It appeared that the toilet and sink hadn't been clean but in reality they we rusted and stained. A tile repair in the bathroom was very unsightly. The towels were very thin as well. Just getting into the room with the electronic key was difficult. We'd swipe the key and get a green light but when we tried to open the the door it was still locked. It took three tries to get in. Granted this is an older facility and we grabbed the first available room late at night but it still was a very unpleasant stay.

Mediocre...At Best

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: Nothing really excellent stuck out.
Cons: Breakfast, decor needs updating, bed mattress was uncomfortable.
Location: Nice Grants Pass location. 30-40 minutes away you have the Oregon Caves and the Big Cats refuge. A trip on the Rogue Jet Boats is always fun.
It wasn't horrible but it wasn't better than mediocre. This hotel is run down and in serious need of remodeling and updating. The room was very small but it was clean. The bathroom was clean but it was too small to have a tub so a shower was all it had. The room did have a safe in it, which was nice. Overall, they did a good job with cleanliness but the size of the room and the age of the decor made you feel like it was not well cared for. The breakfast was minimal. We went down just prior to 8 AM and there was very little there. The milk servers were empty, there was 2 pieces of fruit, only a couple packages of oatmeal and everything but the cereal was almost empty. Eventually some one came and filled the milk servers but their attempt to stock the breakfast bar was minimal. It was clear that they really pinch pennies with regard to breakfast. We used the pool and it was clean and orderly. You get towels from the lobby and the young lady that helped us was very kind. We were satisfied with the pool.

Mediocre motel with a good price.

Posted Jul 25, 2015
Pros: Good price
Cons: The continental breakfast
The shower was tiny, the breakfast seemed stale and not much variety. The bed, pillows, and room temperature were comfortable and the price was right.

Ok for the price

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Stayed at hotel while making a long drive from SoCal. Used it as stop over and the price plus location made it ok. The front office staffer was very good and havens good first impression. Room was clean except for big coffee ring on microwave and loose change in dresser drawer. Room needs updating and shower was outdated and appeared to have some mold. For what I needed it worked.

Old and Outdated.

Posted Jun 14, 2015
Pros: Location right off the freeway. Restaurant nearby.
Cons: Better bed, extra blanket, at least one easy chair, re-paint the bathroom, install extra outlets.
Location: Right off the freeway, restaurant next door.
A tired and worn out facility. The bed was lumpy, no extra blanket, Wi-Fi did not work, no easy chair, very limited outlets for charging electronics, PINK bathroom!. My second Travelodge stay, the first in Lincoln City, OR. Both facilities were lacking in updating and modernization and I would not use Travelodge again. The staff did their best to accommodate with what they had to work with.

Cons: The air conditioner was quite noisy, but we were glad to have it with high nineties temperatures!
This place was easy to get to. We enjoyed a quick dip in the unheated pool, and very nice parks along the river. The motel served our needs very well, with a basic breakfast, and we were on our way the next morning.
