Told Hyatt of Bedbugs, haven't heard back.

Pros: The staff was friendly. close to Boston.
Cons: Wish the Hyatt would respond to my reporting of being bit by bedbugs. I haven't heard back yet. Bad customer service on the higher level of Hyatt.
Location: Not a whole lot in Medford in the winter. It seems safe, found shopping a few towns away.
First of all, I almost didn't write this review. Being a business owner I shy away from writing negative reviews. The front desk check in was great. The parking was conveniently underground. I felt safer. The breakfast was great both days we stayed. The room was spacious, a little worn but appeared clean. The bathroom was tiny compared to the room. Complaint. The first night of my stay, I peaked behind the mattress to see how clean. It appeared a little dusty. I am sure it hadn't been vacuumed in a while. I was in Boston for a important medical consult. So, I was I guess unable to sleep because of this. Next night I was only able to sleep a few hours. My sister slept in the other double bed. The second day, we were leaving. I started to feel itchy. But I assumed it might be new shower gel. When I returned home that day into the next day, I broke out in bumps on my arms, leg and back. I thought I might have shingles. (I am a RN) Consulting with another nurse, I checked symptoms and pictures of rashes. I had bedbug bites. The first time in my life this had happened to me. Luckily, I kept my suitcase away from the bed. I feel I didn't bring them home with me. The worst- I contacted Hyatt through website. I got a rote reply stating the hotel will start investigation. I asked to be update. I haven't heard back since. That was 3 weeks ago. I sent follow up email requesting to be contacted. I noted that I now have scars on both arms,back and leg. (over 30 bites)

Loud coke party across the hall all night

Called front desk at 11:15 pm about a very loud party across the hall. At 330am awoken by people standing in hall talking. Apparently one person was security. People went back in room but noise escalated again. Tried calling front desk but No one answered. At 430 a.m. security came back and told them to leave. Heard someone saying there were people doing coke and they couldnt get them out. More noise in the hall about chargers. Door banging as people came and went from that room until 5a.m. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families.

Crappy location across from housing projects

Needle found in elevator, sketchy underground parking with no security across from housing project. Bottom of shower slightly moldy. Bizarre room setup, sparse decor. Mediocre overall.

Very good hotel at super price

Visiting family after Christmas - wanted hotel with a pool outside of Boston’s driving chaos. Hyatt Place in Medford was excellent. Great room, clean, quiet and safe (also quite full of guests). Price was super, below $100 a night! Pool was fine - I swim laps - a little on the smaller side but worked for me and a couple of kids. Breakfast was fine, crowded if you didn’t get up a little early. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again.

Bartender gives out free drinks to the single ladies at the bar then promises free wine and follows them up to the room. Good luck with that, can’t wait to see it in the news.

Nice hotel, great staff.

We enjoyed our stay from the beginning. Mark checked us in, so helpful and detailed. Any questions we had, he answered with a nice smile. I asked where the gym and pool were. Instead of just saying go over here, he showed us where the gym was and pointed to where the pool was. Our room was very nice and very clean.The gym is great. Not that big, but nice and has a few options for a nice away from home workout. The pool is very nice, and clean. The staff at breakfast were very nice and helpful. Ray checked us out the next morning. He was very nice as well. I highly recommend staying here, and would not hesitate to book here again.

Clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. Mini fridge a great plus and divider w couch made the room feel like a suite. The bathroom is a little tight If you leave the door open while showering. The hotel staff are warm, friendly and accommodating. The hospitality was genuine - kudos!

Adequate Hotel

Pros: The staff.
Cons: The very unusual layout of the room.
Location: It is near Tufts University.
Although the staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel itself was nothing more than adequate.

Mark at the front desk was terrific!! Friendly, patient and very willing to help two Mainers navigate the city!! Shuttle drivers were punctual and friendly Even the breakfast staff amazed us with their dynamite attitudes FREE parking, FREE breakfast, super comfy bed in BIG room at great prices so close to Boston. We have stayed here yearly for 5 years and look forward to the 6th!! Thank you!!!!!
