Great people

Posted Oct 12, 2017
Pros: I loved everything about it!
Cons: Don't change a thing, it's perfect!
Location: Redwood forest is only 2 hours away. The coast is also not too far.
The front desk people were so very helpful and nice. The shuttle was at our disposal for picking us up the night we stayed at the hotel from the rental car place. And then taking us to the airport at 5 am. The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent, and the service unsurpassed. The room was comfortable and very clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that needs to go to Medford or surrounding area.

Cons: Improve / update fitness room!
Everything was fine with the exception of the workout room. Cardio equipment was minimum and not in great shape. There was zero weight training equipment.

Over priced for condition of rooms.

Posted Sep 10, 2017
Pros: The staff were friendly and courteous
Cons: The entire lower level needs a major refresh. Prices need to be lower to reflect the quality of room/accommodations.
Stayed here during recent trip to Medford. It was conveniently located close to airport, which was nice considering I had an early flight the next morning. The staff could not have been nicer upon check in and check out. Unfortunately, the condition of the room left a lot to be desired, as did the whole lower level where my room was located. Specifically, the room had a bed that was well past its useful life and sagged in the middle, furniture that was beat up and stained, and air conditioning unit that was so loud and noisy, that the soundest of sleepers couldn't sleep. Lower level as whole look similar to my, and carpets were very dirty looking-might have to do with the pets I saw running up and down the hallways. Overall a disappointing experience, and certainly not worth the price I paid for the room.

Not bad, but there are better options

Posted Sep 6, 2017
Pros: Easy parking, friendly staff.
Cons: Remodel. They advertised new carpet, which they need, but they also need new beds, furniture, etc.
Location: Unfortunately the smoke from fires kept us from doing much of what we'd hoped to. We still enjoyed our time but it was spent visiting friends.
The Rogue Regency is a dog friendly hotel with an attached restaurant/bar/comedy club. The staff are the highlight of this otherwise average to below average hotel. There are huge stains in the hallways and in the rooms. The recliner in our room was clearly broken and stained. The microwave was from the 1980s. The bed was not comfortable at all. The restaurant is ok, but on the level of a Denny's which is fine if you select an item from the discounted menu for hotel guests. Regular prices meals aren't worth the cost. Overall, we won't be back. There are nicer, although slightly more expensive hotels in the area. I'd rather pay $20-40 more a night and not hear every noise from every room surrounding me.

staff, comfort and value excellent

Posted Sep 4, 2017
Pros: as above
Cons: as above: road construction made difficult to figure out to get to hotel from highwy
Location: Lot of giant stores etc. About 15 minute drive to Ashland right on highway to crater lake
Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Local owned and shows.' Comfort, cleanliness as good as higher priced chains. very good breakfast deal: coupon and $6.00 provides sit down breakfast at adjacent coffee shop (as opposed to typical motel minimally edible buffett. Just off huge highway interchange, but room totally quiet One problem was major road construction and barricades making it tricky to figure out how to get to motel (despite it being easily visible from highway (I had to phone ahead to get directions)

Comfortable hotel close to the Medford Airport

Posted Sep 3, 2017
Cons: It needs a little upgrading: new carpets everywhere, updated bathroom (noisy fan, not the best lighting).
The hotel was fine, clean and comfortable. It has a great restaurant attached to it. The staff was great.

Close to I-5

Posted Aug 30, 2017
Initially they did no have a registration for us. Went out to the car to get the Expedia number to verify. It was corrected by the time I got back with the number. Turned out the name on the reservation was reversed.(Don't know if it was Expedia or the hotel who made the error.) Everything else went smoothly. Great breakfast at th hotel for only $5.99 each. Nice hotel.

Below-grade (under street level)

Posted Aug 25, 2017
Pros: Nice staff
Cons: Asking in advance if basement accommodations were acceptable.
On my way to Corvallis, OR to watch the eclipse. Insecure about the travel time and traffic heading north, I decided to leave very early in the AM (1 AM, I think). If I had been there on business or enjoyment, I would not have accepted the below grade room. Creepy.

Just okay, nothing fancy

Posted Aug 20, 2017
Pros: No ants or bug spray to smell this go round. I was ready to leave if I had to deal with that again.
Cons: Timeliness of service in lounge area.
Location: Has bar and lounge, we used it mostly to just sleep so not sure about surrounding things close by.
Good hotel for price. Didn't have ants this go round so that was good. Older, carpets are stained, even with low lighting you can see them. Staff was attentive enough, nothing to shout about. Price wise, you get what you pay for. They have a bar and lounge area but waitresses not very timely with service.
