Right in town with a view of the hills

Posted Jan 31, 2017
Pros: Proximity to downtown. Easy walk to restaurants and bookstore.
Cons: The addition of a waffle maker or hard-boiled eggs to the continental breakfast menu.
Location: 3 blocks to Lithia Park.
We stayed in one of the newly remodeled King rooms. It has a view of the hills east of Ashland. The bed was pillow-top firm. While the room doesn't have a wall closet, it does have a wardrobe. The bathroom was roomy enough. The shower head was extra large and extra high -- and had strong water pressure. While some folks complain about the room door having an actual key, I found that "old-fashioned" method of lock just fine. I enjoyed being less than 3 blocks from downtown. It meant we could park the car and walk everywhere. I also enjoyed the pool. It's long and deep enough to do short laps.

Used to be better

Posted Nov 29, 2016 on Hotels
Satisfactory, not great. Still a good deal at $81 for a weeknight, but there are comparable offerings that are better appointed. The breakfast only had bagels, instant oatmeal and cold cereal. The indoor pool is nice. It used to be a great place to stay, but is definitely showing signs of its age.

Family place

Posted Nov 10, 2016 on Hotels
We were traveling with our little boys at the time. Wanted to stay some where with a pool to get their energy out and this place was perfect. Price was reasonable and the place was clean. The pool needs some upgrades but overall great place for family s.

Very nice place to stay

Very nice place to stay. They use regular old school room keys but no big deal.
