I've stayed at the timbers literally hundreds of nights over he years... usually its my favorite for price, comfort, central location, friendliness. It's still not bad with the staff changeover but it's not even close to as friendly as it used to be... it's not unfriendly, it's just like any other ok motel. The room was overcrowded with a huge 1980s piece of furniture that was meant for one of them giant 80stvs and stereo... it would create so much more room to get rid of it. It felt so crowded and i was n alone. The bathtub was gross. Clogged so water and hair rose up from the drain. Very disgusting. No more sweets and coffee in the lobby in the morning. Whatever.. it was never great but it was an n attempt. That's just non existent. That's fine. The bed was comfy... the tv was might as well been on the ceiling... way up on top of that monster of an entertainment piece to hold one thin modern tv, a tiny microwave and fridge... kinda thought it ridiculously funny. Again most of not so great review was the disgusting clogged bath with not so much as an apopogy or empathy for the gross inconvenience. That would have been nice. Oh I'm so sorry... that won't happen again.. I something.

We appreciate your loyalty over the years and value your perspective.Regarding the issues you mentioned, this is the same furniture that the previous owners have had for many years but we have plans to update it by the end of the year. In addition, while the previous owners offered bread and coffee, we have transitioned to providing in-room coffee amenities and offering breakfast during peak seasons. This same room that you paid 65 plus tax due to our dynamic pricing model, would have costed you 80 plus tax with the previous ownership. Due to the lower costs in the offseason it is difficult to provide breakfast and we appreciate you taking this into consideration.We deeply regret the condition of the bathtub; please know that we were unaware of this issue until your stay as it is one of those things that is not visible until it occurs. We have promptly contacted a handyman to address it.We truly value your feedback and hope you will give us another chance to exceed your expectations in the future.Warm regards,Timbers management

Someone was using a leaf blower or some type of gas 2 cycle engine in the rear of the property near the bathroom window at 7-8pm. other than that, the place was easy to find, nice location. I thought the $100 refundable damage deposit was too high.

My Wife and I have been staying at the Timbers when in Ashland for many years now. The owners and staff are very friendly, its reasonably priced, and kept very clean. We appreciate that it is simple and consistent and makes for a great weekend getaway with no surprises.

Family room good for five or six.
We stayed in the family room which was the perfect size and set up for our family of five. The room took awhile to heat up and was quite cold when we arrived. But, it was plenty warm overnight. Overall, decent for one night while we were passing through on our long drive.

Our accommodation at Timbers INN and Suites was a nightmare. Our room was supposed to be a one double and queen room, and we were given two double beds. The bed frames were old metal frames and extremely loud. The smell in the room smelt like a dog kennel and pee. The floors were sticky with hair from previous patrons. The towels were really gross and looked like they have been in use for the past 20 years. Everything in the room was old, broken, and heavily used. They need to make some serious improvements if they are going to charge $120 a night. We will never be returning.

We did have a pet room which may explain the condition. But our shower drain didn't drain well. Our toilet didn't flush very well. We pulled the extra blanket and it was weirdly starchy and had stains. The furniture was VERY worn, and stained. Which I can understand that being a pet room, but not what I expected from the photos.

Today was my birthday and we decided to go to Bend Or. Unfortunately after a long and exhausting day of missadventures we pulled over in Ashland at 12 am so Expedia only recomended a few properties. They had a lock box system set up for late night use. I decided to book from their doorstep and assumed they would email me a code. Instead I got a message telling me check in by 11 pm. I feel lied to and ripped off. I tried to cancel from my room at the Bards Inn, but The Timbers kept my $ .

We believe that effective communication between guests and the property is crucial for a successful check-in process especially one that is at such late hours as yours was.Regarding the refund, we would like to clarify that your reservation was made last minute and fell outside the refundable period. As per our policies, refunds are not processed for reservations that do not have a valid reason and are past the refundable period. During our correspondence over messages you we have an understanding that we had resolved the issue and came to an mutual understanding so we are dismayed to see this negative review. We regret that online review platforms, such as Expedia, allow guests to post negative reviews even when they did not actually stay at our property. It is unfortunate that some reviews are solely based on the guest's dissatisfaction with not receiving a refund, which is typically due to last-minute cancellations without valid reasoning. We would like to emphasize that we held the room as per the reservation and did not rent it to another guest, as we believed it was only fair to honor the booking. In such cases, it would be more equitable for the property to receive compensation for the room that was reserved and held specifically for the guest. As a result, the demand for accommodations was exceptionally high, leading to increased prices across all hotels in the area. It is important to note that pricing is primarily determined by supply and demand, rather than solely based on the level of the property.We apologize if the room did not meet your expectations in terms of cleanliness and noise levels. We take these concerns seriously and will address them with our housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure improvements are made. Right next to SOU and a great Mom and Pop pizza place (and they even had gluten free crust). Hotel is nothing special, but it did the job and felt safe. The girl at the counter was sweet and helpful when we checked in. It’s a bit too far to walk to downtown from the hotel, but it’s still a great price for the location. We plan to stay here again.
