Nicest little cottages!

Posted Jul 16, 2017
Pros: Very clean, very friendly hosts, good meals, easy access to river, quick drive to Grants Pass.
Cons: The smores kits were good, but could have been better.....the graham crackers were a little soft. Hard pressed to think of anything else.....
Location: Nice antique stores, jet boats on the Rogue, fishing, hiking, good Restaurants, & the best Milk Shakes for miles at the little vintage drug store!
Booked this room via Expedia. Had an excellent rating and quite a few pictures. Arrived right on time for check in. First thing you notice is the cleanliness, yet vintage era log home construction (many places have a fake log home look, but are dusty on the fake logs...nobody thinks to dust a wall!). The Staff is more than friendly, with everyone full of smiles and happy you are there. After getting our keys, we walked the short distance to our "cabin". You might call them a tri-plex cabin as there are three cabins joined together as a group, but arranged so you feel like you have your own, with the entrance out of sight of the neighbors entrance. You walk in to find the setting is something you'd book for a honeymoon stay....something special for that special occasion. LARGE bed with super soft mattress, a gas fireplace that actually works well, a view of the woods and slightly distant river, and a very spacious bathroom. The log beams on the vaulted ceiling were a very nice touch! They have a nice wine tasting in the evening, along with providing you with Smore's kits so you can go outside to the large gas fire pit and make your own tasty treat. In the morning your have a full breakfast...waffles (make your own), eggs, sausage, potatoes, juice, bagels, etc. The eating area is comfortable and well laid out. Can't say enough nice things about this place!

Love the cabin atmosphere

Like a mountain resort. Last min discount made it possible for us to stay here. My parents look forward to staying here on our next trip to Seattle

Quiet, Clean, Pleasant, Needs Work

Posted Jul 1, 2017
Pros: Location, staff, quiet, friendly.
Cons: Cabin maintenance.
Location: It's a few miles from the town of Grant's Pass but well worth the trip.
The cabins are quiet and clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. But in the morning it was hard to get the shower to turn on. Then once the shower was on we couldn't get it to stop. It remained at full flow for at least half hour while we waited for the maintenance guy to show up. By that time we were checked out of the room, and when we talked to the front desk about a refund they told us we had to wait until the next day and talk to the manager about it. Bottom line is the place is nice but needs better maintenance.

We were just making a stop there on our way back to Seattle, but the place was so nice and made our day! Staffs were nice, and they offer appetizers in the afternoon so we can sit on the deck enjoying the beautiful and quite scenery while eating.
