Wonderful Moroccan Experience

Posted Oct 21, 2017
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Part of a visit to Marrakesh is exploring back alleys and visitors might wonder about the location of Al Badia at first but it really is an oasis.
Arriving over three hours late at 2.0 am. following a diverted flight we did not expect too much of a welcome but the Riad Al Badia lived up to their reputation looking after our cases and providing delicious mint tea after a difficult journey. Such high level of service was maintained throughout our stay and nothing was too much trouble for the management and staff to ensure we enjoyed our stay to the full. The meals we had were all taken on the attractive terrace upstairs and were without doubt the best food we experienced in Marrakesh. With full explanations of all the ingredients every delicious meal was a lovely Moroccan experienced to be savoured.

Close to edge of medina

Posted Aug 24, 2017
Despite the dodgy medina area outside the riad, the warmth and hospitality that Laurent and his staff (Mohammed and Younes) offered from the moment you step into the door made up for it. Lovely, clean rooms. Wonderful breakfast of mint tea, coffee, fresh juice, and pastries. Save one of your dinners to eat on their terrace, delicious Moroccan food prepared by Samira. Also, arrange airport pickup with Laurent, which saved the challenge of finding the riad. Overall, a memorable stay, so thank you, Laurent, Younes, and Mohammed.

So friendly and helpful. A little gem!

Posted Jul 16, 2017
Pros: Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - nothing is too much trouble.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Very easy to get to all the main sites by foot.
Marrakech is hot (in July), busy, noisy and great fun, but this little oasis of calm is just the antidote at the end of a hectic day!

Good place to stay in Marrakesh

Posted Jun 14, 2017 on Hotels
The hotel is located near the old town and it's hard to find. DON NOT trust Google map, the route showing there cannot lead you to the hotel. The hotel actually contacted me about the route before my arrival. The staff are very enthusiastic and friendly. Parking is available nearby next the mosque, about 20 MAD / night. And the pond showing in the picture is just a small pond, not a swimming pool.

Dear Sir, I thank you for this comment and for your stay at Riad Al Badia. It was really nice to meet you both and to receive you during this short stay. I just would like to clarify our location, Riad Al Badia is located in the surther part of the Medina (the old town) just behind the Royal Palace and 5 minutes walk from Badii & Bahia Palaces and 10 mns walk from Jemâa El Fna Square. Google Map is a technology, quite accurate but not completely accurate and especially for all Riads located in the Old town where 70% of streets are pedestrian... do contact us prior to arrival, this would be more accurate ! The bassin in the patio is a refreshing bassin. Having given these reminders and I thank you for giving me the opportunity to do it, we are all very grateful for your stay and we all keep warm and friendly memories of your stay. So thank you and hopefully we will have the opportunity to receive you again for an other occasion. Thank you and see you soon.

Luxurious Riad; Unparalleled Hosts; Great Location

Posted May 24, 2017
Pros: Everything! The hosts; the suites; the location; the food; the wifi.
Cons: Honestly can't think of a single thing.
Location: Very close to the center of town and great location to get any where you want to go.
My daughter (who studied abroad) and I wanted an adventure together in Marrakesh. We had an absolutely great time, in large part because of our choice to stay at Riad Al Badia. The Riad was luxurious and "very Moroccan". The hospitality was excellent. Laurent and Muhommad and the kitchen chef made our stay so enjoyable. You will find the breakfasts to be an absolute treat. We also enjoyed an amazing dinner there, on the roof top terrace (the best meal of our stay). The hosts really take good care of the guests, in all facets of the trip. The room (suite) was all we could ask for: the beds were very comfortable; excellent a/c; great bathrooms/shower; very clean. The internet wifi is excellent. Laurent is great in emailing about your stay and helping you plan. Having the Riad's driver pick us up from the airport was a breeze - -so great not to have to negotiate with a taxi right off the plane. The location was great to go to and from the center of town. This was a great trip and we hope to return to Marrakech and stay there again soon!

Fantastic experience, the staff makes the differen

Posted May 21, 2017 on Orbitz
Pros: Laurent and his staff were fabulous. When we first arrived the alley/street where it is located had us second guessing but once inside with the perso
Cons: Elevator
Location: Great location and much to do. Laurent and staff helped set itinerary.
When we arrived at the Riad, Laurent and his staff made us immediately feel welcome and almost at home. I my experience, both business and personal, I have stayed at many venues in the US as well as many countries. I, nor can my wife, remember an experience that was as professional and individually centered as we experienced at the Riad al Badia. The location was centered, the staff were considerate of our needs, and sincerely interested in our daily activities in terms of helping us set up and interested and concerned when we arrive back at the Riad as to the actual experience.

A peaceful sanctuary in the buzz of Marrakech

Posted May 14, 2017
Pros: Everything
My daughter and I were a touch apprehensive as we approached the doorway of Al Badia. We shouldn't have worried. As we stepped over the threshold into this wonderful, scented riad, Laurent welcomed us with mint tea and pastries. He and Mohammed were friendly and so helpful recommending places to go and restaurants to try... and where to avoid. Their kindness and attention to detail really made our holiday. The first evening we experienced a wonderful meal of Moroccan salads and chicken tagine at Table at Al Badia - definitely worth booking a table on the roof top terrace. Highly recommend this Riad.
