Excellent accommodation

Pros: The room had a good view and excellent accommodation
Cons: Nothing. It was great
Location: Restaurants, activities along the Yarra River, Sightseeing- Spinning wheel, cruising, bus tours, trams movies
Loved the upmarket accommodation with a good view of the city of Melbourne. I was treated well and the staff was very helpful. I would definitely recommend Pan Pacific to friends and family.

An obvious choice

Warm and friendly at check in, no delay with room despite us arriving early, and we were then upgraded to a city view which was entirely unexpected and absolutely wonderful. Location is excellent. Jennifer - the maitre D in the restaurant 🍴 is such a lovely lady. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pan Pacific.

I used to stay here when it was the Hilton from when it was brand new and nothing has changed building wise. It is a little aged in the fact that some items in the room show wear but as far as room comfort goes, it’s terrific. The beds are so comfortable, the air conditioning is great and the block out blind is terrific. The bathrooms are beautiful and everything is 100% spotless. The staff are absolutely fantastic - you couldn’t come across friendlier or more helpful people and I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels. When my son and I checked in we were chatting with the receptionist and she found out we’d just spent the day moving house and she immediately went on to offer ice creams to us both. It was little things like that, they made our stay feel very personalised. The only thing I can criticise is their food prices. My son and I had room service for dinner and for the 2 of us (my son having a kids meal) it was $94!! We didn’t order drinks but my son did order a little tub of ice cream and I ordered a proper dessert. There was nothing wrong with the food but it wasn’t great. And for the price I expected to be blown away. The next morning we were leaving the hotel and we had a 5 hour drive ahead of us so we decided to just grab something small from their cafe and yet again we were faced with inflated food prices. My coffee was $6 and my son’s milkshake was $6.50. I got a slice and he got a toasted croissant and it was $31 in total. In summary, stay here but don’t eat here!

Nice hotel close to the river

Room service was poor. We had no refill of complementary water, dental kit or coffee.

Great hotel by South Bank with fantastic views

Pros: Great concierge who left a bucket of beverages in our room for NYE.
I stayed here with my fiancee (I actually proposed while staying here) for a couple of nights over New Year and we loved our stay here. The view of the city was great and we had the best view of the NYE fireworks right from our hotel room. The staff were great and provided us with a bucket of beverages for NYE just because, which was a really nice gesture. We could walk to the restaurants on South Bank and the CBD easily and the room was clean and comfortable.

Good hotel on south bank

Great location for dock lands and discount shopping close to trams that are free of charge in CBD great restaurant area right on the riverfront.

Good location, friendly staff but no pool

Pros: Location and friendly staff.
Cons: Diffidently Pool for families.
Location: Location was great, close to DFO and Southbank. Many options for restaurants and cafes. Walking distance to CBD.
Good location close to DFO South Wharf. Clean room with large bathroom (Deluxe king room booked but somehow we had a Deluxe king room with wheelchair Accessible). Friendly staff in a professional manner. Breakfast was nice. but No pool. Room was smaller than expected. Bed was too soft for me.
