I arrived at 1pm to find reception locked. Called the number provided and a gentleman came to check me in. Said I was booked into a hillview spa suite but when I saw the amount of stairs that had to be climbed to reach it, asked if there was anything lower down. He didn’t offer any alternative but asked me if I was good with stairs. Now I will be 80 this year and reasonably fit but no way able to carry my suitcase up. However a staff member assisted by delivering my suitcase to the room. Was disappointed when I unlocked the door as the decor was, to say the least, very lack lustre. The red couch and armchair looked like they had been picked up on the side of the road. The chair’s lining underneath was hanging down. In the kitchen there was only one cup and one glass, a few plates and some cutlery but no plug for the sink and no tea towel. The bathroom was reasonable but only one cake of soap. The cupboards and the architraves are in bad need of repair. It takes several minutes for the hot water to come through.. The decking outside is in bad repair. I felt like I was going to fall through it in several places. The back garden is full of weeds. I stayed 3 nights and not once was my bed made. There was evidence that housekeeping has been there as the rubbish bin was emptied and the towels changed but no bath mat left on the first day and only once was milk and coffee topped up. On the day of my departure, there was no one about to help me with my case.

Hotel definitely does not look anything like advertised. Pretty run down and not maintained well. We were there for a wedding and decided to go up a little early to relax and couldn’t even use the spa in our room due to lack of hot water. When reporting it we were told to “wait a few hours”. Tried again in the morning with same issues. Also there is meant to be a restaurant but it was closed. No room service or mini bar and manuals refer to “dial 9 for reception” and there is no phone in the rooms. Also no one bothers to come and turn down the rooms during your stay. I reported the spa again on check out to which I was told someone would call and organise compensation - but a week later and it never happened. We were also told by another couple staying that they tried to check in at 4pm and their room was “trashed” and not even cleaned yet. Definitely won’t be coming back here again, very disappointing

The property itself is amazing it's a shame it's not been run to its full potential it could be suitable for so many businesses types and ideas the property is also home to an endangered species of possum the leader beater possum. I hope that the property finds its way and is a celebration and holiday hub once again!

Arrived at room to find pile of rubbish outside door. Room and yards are tired and in need of maintenance. Chipped furniture no tea towel to dry dishes and 1/2 used detergent. Cobwebs in bathroom chips on taps and sink, water damaged doors. Iron leaks water all over my clothes and floor. No love or care evident .

Totally inadequate provision of consumables. Equipment (washing iron) corroded spilled rust on shirt for wedding. So did replacement. Just being run into the ground. Owners have no clue. Avoid even if you’re a 3/4 star person.

It was convenient as we had a Wedding down the road, the light in bathroom didn’t work, no fan or window in bathroom so door needed to stay open. There was 3 of us & in the fridge there was a tiny little one portion of milk. Definitely over priced should only cost 120.00 a night not $197.00 we will not come back.

This property is amazing I love the space the green rolling hills and the fresh air! Native animals also live on this property the kids will love the possums running around if your up late enough to catch them! Pet friendly also! The property is safe and secure,I personally am a night shift persons X regularly walk the premises late if a night not a problem at all!! Laundry facilities available BREAKFAST RECOMMENDATION PLATTERS CAFE DIAMOND CREEK LUNCH RECOMMENDATION GREENSBOROUGH AND MOUNT MONTOMERCY DINNER RECOMMENDATION CITY/ OR ALS PIZZA ELTHAM! This property is great! If U need something ask no point saying only one cup rahh rahh ppl steal them out of rooms! Lol so if U need something reception is more then happy to accommodate this! **1st sep broke Into room such lies this is petty crap talk I was here then and nothing of the sort! Why didn't u ring police because it didn't happen! How does someone try to break in anyway without being noticed I walk the grounds of a night with my protection dog so I can personally say this did not happen!!! Maybe you should get into writing fairy tales! Lol

The property is so unique bye to the open space and native Wildlife if U book a hilltop spa suite the possums are out the front at eye level there are chains leading from major trees so they can cross around safely and away from human interaction.

The room had two double beds, capable of sleeping 4ppl. Yet there was only 1chair to sit on, 2cups, 2 glasses, no ice tray, no tea towel, Yet it had an induction cooker & frypan..? No dish sponge or liquid dish soap..? One tiny soap morsel, 2 towels 1 face washer. No shampoo’s or conditioner. It’s usually an impromptu decision to get a room, so these items are essential. For $150 a night, I was disappointed. After one shower, there was no soap left & 2 damp towels. Iv stayed in budget rooms for half this price with 4 of everything. I just felt it was less than minimum required. It stood out. I’m sure providing more basic essentials would work in your favour as guests would return more willingly. It is an important factor for me when considering future bookings. It’s the difference between an ‘ok’ stay, & a ‘great’ stay. The property looks inviting, but for me, the experience was not as good as it could have been.. however, fortunately, these issues are very easy to fix. Thank you for taking the time to read this far. P.S, the elec blinds were unplugged & no remote control for them. Had to close manually. If fixtures are present, they are expected to be functional. If not, remove them. It just looks like no one cares enough to have them working. Just offering my personal opinion.. Thanks. Mel.

We always strive to ensure every guest receives the service and experience they expect, but this becomes a challenge when rooms are overoccupied.As for daily necessities, our hotel provides front desk services during working hours. Some one tried to break into my room at 1.30am. They victim blamed me over it and demanded to know why I didn’t “just call the police”. Offered me $75 for the experience as part of the so called refund. Which was not the cost of the night, instead that’s minus a cancellation fee. My room smelt like stale cigarettes smoke as well. They didn’t care. I do not recommend this place. Awful service and experience. The decode is ghastly too. Would never stay here again.

When guests face any issues, we encourage immediate reporting to allow us a chance to take swift action.It's not uncommon for hotel guests to mistakenly enter the wrong room. In such cases, identity verification and prompt reporting are crucial. Had we been alerted right away, we could have addressed the situation immediately.Regarding the early checkout, we agreed to it due to the unforeseen circumstances you described. We only charged for half a day as you were unable to check out by the designated time of 10 am, or even by 11 am.You mentioned that we should have been the ones to call the police, but I want to clarify that in order for us to take such a serious action, we would need to be made aware of the situation first. While we are committed to the safety of our guests, we can only act on information that we have. If we are not informed of an issue, it limits our ability to ensure your safety.Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience you experienced, and I welcome the opportunity to discuss how we can make things right.

THE GROUNDS ARE AMAZING! Lovely place to stay if you need something just ask! I have stayed in a couple rooms here and satisfied with cheak in ,cleanliness, and facilities! Private parking and function centre! If your lucky you might see a bride in horse and carriage! Highly recommend the hill top spa rooms native wildlife eg possums at eye level amazing experience! Bed comfortable! Shower hot and steamy! Quite friendly suburbs great walking tracks! Uber eats and Menu log available!

Rooms are comfy and modern with everything you could want and need, quiet area, dog friendly, Lovely staff and receptionist Alex is amazing very attentive and helpful. Hill top spa rooms are excellent with an amazing view who needs a kitchen why would you cook with such relaxing surrounds. Short walk to shops and facilities, LAUNDRY FACILITIES available BUS STOP out the front! Uber eats and menu log BREAKFAST RECOMMEND PLATTERS CAFE DIAMOND CREEK WESTSIDE BREAKFAST AND COFFEE! *POSSUMS Play outside the hilltop spa rooms think they should be called the tree too possum spa rooms!!! The grounds itself is amazing not overdone just a simple bush scape low maintenance but natives! At Eltham if you have the pleasure staying in a Hilltop spa suite you will notice in the trees out Front of your varanda at eye level ring tail possums playing and looking for food (NOCTURNAL MARSUPIAL) The property is huge in size with many bed options and suite configuration having 54 rooms! With over 5 spa rooms available on the property you will find this hidden rural gem is perfect for your lazy SUNDAYS! LOVE THIS PLACE! MENU LOG AMD UBER EATS DELIVER HERE TOO! LIMITED LAUNDRY FACILITIES, LIMITED COOKING FACILITIES!

Accommodation had all that we needed but was tired. Thought we could order room service but unfortunately that wasnt the case so had to go out and find dinner elsewhere. Shame the bar and restaurant are only for functions and not guests.

This Hotel could be lovely and I am sure it was once. We did not have a car and nothing is walking distance and no restaurant at the Hotel. Beds were comfortable and it was quiet.

The building and paths are very tired and in need of maintenance. The unit was dirty and unkept. Found a pair of socks left behind by someone else, shower/bathroom really bad. Won't stay there again.

The safety chain was missing from the front door,the lock on the door was a standard privacy lock thatwould be very easy to break.the door to the bathroom had not been cleaned in a long time. The toilet seat was very loose. The room appeared to be very tired.the most disappointing aspect was we paid $249 for a room that was in a 2 1/2 star condition
