Small but great location and space use

Pros: The rooms are small but the smart use of space is great. I had everything I needed and was surprised that the shower was pretty big.
Cons: Not sure really enjoyed this hotel. Great pricing too
Location: Tippler and Co. Is right next door and trans and trains to the city are super close too
My partner and i started here overnight for a work function at the Tippler and Co. It was a fantastic location right next door to the bar.

Close to the MCG but overpriced

Great for being close to the MCG. Executive studio room was over priced though. Bathroom wasn't that great either. So much space yet a tiny little tap and basin leaving the floor tiles wet.

Thank you for your review, I am sorry that you did not feel that your room was priced appropriately. Our executive rooms do that the extras, complimentary water, Nespresso Machine and tim tams. I hope that you will come and stay with us again. Kind regards

Location: really good Italian restaurants especially 'Il Duca'

Pros: Location, decor, facilities.
Cons: Absence of electric blankets unsatisfactory given cold winter temps in Melbourne
Met expectations: decor, facilities, cleanliness, 5 mins to train station with high frequency timetable, quiet neighbourhood, George St cafe outstanding, staff helpful, value for money. Proximity to MCG/Rod Laver Tennis arena big attraction for future visit to Melbourne.

Read between the lines

Pros: It was newly renovated, so wear and tear was minimal
Cons: Empower the staff to act for the company, and review the current customer experience
Location: Another feature for me was the cocktail bar next door, which was sadly closed for my entire stay. It was still advertised in the lift, just not open
Expedia listed the Quest East Melbourne as having "Free Wireless Internet" with no other qualifier, so I read that as that there was no other qualifier to the access, and chose the venue based on the fact I'd be getting free access to the Internet. I was considering other venues, but they all showed restricted Internet access. When I'd signed in I found that there WERE limitations to the Internet Access - it was only complimentary up 200MB, which may have been fine for emails last century, but is inadequate today. In trying to find out if I'd misread the Wifi access details, I found the price of the room had dropped, and then discovered that the no-fee cancellation policy didn't apply to me as I'd booked in a four-day block, rather than single days. It then took three days and two staff members before anyone who could actually help had been notified of my situation. Still then their expectation was that I'd be doing the leg work in sorting a solution. As I'd had two consecutive weeks booked, I _did_ do the leg work and cancelled my second week, showing my dissatisfaction with my wallet. On checking out I made sure the cancellation of the subsequent week had gone through the system - I couldn't cancel on their system and had had to cancel through Expedia - and while it had gone through, even that didn't interest them enough to enquire why I'd cancelled.

I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at the Quest East Melb. First of all they haf availability at short notice and no problems with just staying for one night. The staff were friendly and I just loved the way the apartment was decorated, really modern and comfortable at the same time. There is a nice bar also just a few doors from the hotel, which is handy. I will be going back there next time im in Melb. Also I forgot to mention it was very afordable for such a luxurious room!
