One disaster after another!

Pros: Expedia
Cons: Lack of on-site assistance, cleanliness and temperature of the rooms.
Location: Nothing is close by!! Hard to get a cab or get anywhere. There is a gas station and that's about it.
Booked a weekend stay here during the Aussie Open looking to get a clean, cheap room somewhat close. You definitely get what you pay for! First surprise we encountered on arrival was that there's no reception - it's totally self-check in via an ATM like computer outside. Apparently it's advertised usually but was not on the Expedia write up. No reception also meant nowhere to store luggage before check-in as we arrived early AM. A call to the off-site helpline and we're told we could store it in the parking garage (!!) until the worker came in an hour. Instead we took a taxi to the CBD and stored our stuff at a friend's hotel. We came back later and then encountered trouble with the computer and room access code. A second call to the helpline took another 10-15 to get us into the room (she still hadn't made it in despite it being about 6 hours later). Finally in, we find the air conditioning hasn't been turned on for a while and the room is stuffy and hot and we have to wait for 20 minutes while the AC gets going. The last straw is when we discover a parade of ants crawling around the cabinets and the window. A call again and they tell us the ants are just a result of the extreme heat (maybe keep the AC on then!!) and to just put a towel down where they are coming out of. Fed up now, we call Expedia who very helpfully and efficiently refund our money and find us another hotel despite it being the Friday of the Open. Was so happy to get out of there!

Quiet, central and everything I needed.

Pros: I was able to book in around midnight, after a big party, without disturbing anyone.
Cons: Nice toiletries - although I didn't need them - but shame about the coffee.
Location: Friends - I'll definitely be back!
The Zara was only 100m away from my friends home, making it a handy retreat to peace and tranquility. The apartment had everything I needed - comfy bed, fabulous shower and kitchen facilities - home away from home.

Clean but VERY SMALL

Automatic check in didn't work so had to ring manager. No answer. Eventually received text msg with code and finally got in. Musty, yukky cigarette smell in the hallway outside room. Door wouldn't open to my room (very frustrated by this time). Manager rang and was polite and apologetic. Room is VERY small but very clean. Bed very comfortable. It's a lot of money, though, for such a small room. I probably wouldn't stay there again. It's also right next to one of the main traffic thoroughfares into Melb so was pretty noisy in the morning.

部屋がとても綺麗だった。バスルームのシャワーが動くタイプ&広くて使いやすい。鍵が番号入力式なので鍵の持ち歩きがないのが楽。無人のチェックインのため、早く行ってもチェックインどころか、荷物を預かってもらったりできないのが不便。

Apartments in a strange location.

Overall apartments were fine though no on sight reception. We're clean and had all amenities we needed for one night though ironing board was broken. About 15 minute walk from South Bank.

Really nice apartments, well priced and close to tram stops that give you 5minute access to the city....would recommend.
