Poor service

Posted Aug 26, 2015
Pros: Breakfast.
After returning to our room from visiting friends at approx. 3:45pm, I had to ask the front desk to send someone up to clean our room. Nothing was done and this was the second day of our stay at the hotel.

Do not recommend

The front desk staff made me feel as if I was an annoyance. She was dry, unfriendly, and unprofessional. The room was dusty and there was mold on the walls and ceiling in the bathroom. Stained carpet. Overall nasty.

Nice people. Smelly experience.

Pros: The staff was very nice and tried to help with tech difficulties but were unable to. The complimentary breakfast was quite good!
Cons: Rip out carpets. Replace doors. Get the excess furniture out of rooms, it was cluttered.
Location: 7-8 miles east of downtown Memphis. Nothing to do there. However, convenient to expressways.
The lobby gives you the impression this is going to be a very nice stay. Then it goes downhill. The elevator is slow & clanky. The hallway carpet has been doused with anything and everything to make it hide the dirt. It's damp & nasty and I forbid my kids from stepping on it barefoot. The doors are old and the one in the bathroom sticks so badly, I couldn't get out until my husband pushed it open. the complementary wifi was so weak it didn't reach our room. All in all, extremely disappointing for the amount of money we paid!!

Convenient to 240 but disappointing

Pros: Ease of access.
Cons: Facilities, bathrooms, carpet
Location: There is nothing nearby other than some drive through chain restaurants. You must access the interstate or travel back to midtown.
This hotel has changed hands recently and I have stayed under three managements. The quality has continued to deteriorate. The carpets are shabby and worn (stained in several places in my recent stay). The parking lot needs repair. The access road (which is public) is also in need of repair. This hotel is no longer a three star (or three plus) reservation.

Tear it down!

Posted Jul 15, 2015
In need of the much touted multi dollar renovation in September. Don't waste your time folks, there was a nasty liquid dripping from ceiling in bath in room#1. Room #2 had a hole kicked in the shower . We did not end up staying, and they gave us no resistance to crediting our stay, now lets see if we get the credit!!!

jt, Thanks for mentioning the kindness of the team. I am sorry to read that the room cleanliness wasn't to par with your expectations. I will address with my housekeeping team, but would love for you to elaborate so that I can address specific items that may be going unnoticed. The property is a bit dated, which is why you will be happy to read that we are in getting ready to embark on a multi million dollar renovation in the fall. Thanks again for staying. Sincerely, Ryan Asst. GM

Needs help

Posted Jul 12, 2015
This crowned plaza is not up to par with others I have stayed at. It was dirty both in the lobby and in the room. Carpeting was filthy in our room. Beds were comfortable with clean sheets. Thank God because if it was dirty bedding too we would have left the hotel. The whole building needed repairs, painting and a deep cleaning. I would not stay here again. I would say the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Susie, Thanks for staying and for commenting on our great team. Sorry to hear the age of our property greatly effected your stay in a negative fashion. You should know that we are preparing to undergo a full renovation in the fall which should really bring the property to life and help it reach its potential. We hope that you will reconsider and come back once the transformation takes place. Again, thanks for staying and for your feedback. Ryan Asst. GM
