Pros: Bathroom was awesome, except no fan in bathroom.
Cons: HD TV. Hotel bar closed at 11pm It could be an hour later and it would have been perfect.
I was there to see my son who was traveling in the southeast part of the US.

Front desk could have been more helpful. One elevator was out for a little while. Left one elevator working.

Enjoyed it overall, but the bed was too soft.Posted Aug 21, 2015
I enjoyed it overall, but the bed was too soft. The onsite restaurant was overpriced and the food was mediocre. Not being a morning person it would have nice if there were some kind of complimentary breakfast. Overall, I still enjoyed my stay. This hotel was very, very conveniently located.

The end of a long travel day.Posted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: It was clean, the staff was courteous and professional, and attention had been paid to detail.
Location: The hotel was located in eastern Memphis, and it was close to just about anything.
After 10 hours on the road, the Doubletree Hotel in Memphis was a welcomed stop. Check-in was quick and smooth, the room was cool, and the room had a very neat appearance to it. The beds were comfortable, all of the amenities in the bathroom were in place, and it was obvious that the hotel staff had paid attention to detail to make the guests' stay most pleasant. When I'm back in the area, there's not question I'll stay there, again.

Smell of urine in the roomPosted Jul 23, 2015
There was a strong smell of urine in the room. Also the linen on the bed was jammed and looks unfresh. There was no drinking water in the room although I always expect at least a small bottle, as from my experience staying in different hotels.

Too much for 1 night.Posted Jun 18, 2015 on Hotels
While the hotel is very nice I probably would never stay here again. I was just driving through the area and needed a place to sleep and this was definitely an overpriced bed, even at the discounted rate. The staff was nice enough, the rooms were very clean and I'm sure the amenities were great for an extended stay. But mine was just for the night.

Mostly Good in MemphisPosted Jun 18, 2015 on Hotels
Nice location, good property. Restaraunt prices in the hotel were quite reasonable for dinner ($10.95 for a chicken sandwich with fries), although breakfast was a little pricey at $12.95. Bartender was so-so. The A/C unit in the room sounded like a jet ready to take-off, I literally had to turn on close-captioning to watch TV, and the room never got cool. Confusing thermostat, kept re-setting itself to 72F. Friendly front desk staff, and great cookies (always my favorite part).
