Great hotel close to Beale St

Business style hotel but with the personal touch that is really handy for Beale St and downtown Memphis. Only provides valet parking but plenty of cheaper self parking sites close by. Next door to the Peabody so you can enjoy that hotels facilities without paying that hotels prices.

"A Created Mood"

Pros: Jazz entertainment
Cons: Fix the blinds
Location: Located near Beale Street;semi-pro baseball ball park across the street; and near plenty of restaurants.
Most of the fives given were because of the mood created by the entertainment. The jazz piano player was great! Plans were made before I arrived to attend an event. I would have gladly cancelled the event to just hear the jazz piano player. The proximity of Friday's Restaurant provided a safe environment for us to eat. The employees were cordial and pleasant. The only negative was the blinds, in the window, got stuck above which allowed the sunlight to peek into the bedroom early in the morning. Even then, I gave room comfort a "4."

Right across the Autozone Park.

It's .7 miles away from Gus world best chicken. Lot to do around. No coffee available though and valet parking only.

Nice hotel downtown to Memphis Beale Street

Not worth money

Pros: Location
Cons: Discount on room facing park on game nights. Fix wiring, more towels. Handholds in bathtub.
Location: Great location, many things nearby
Room across the street from the baseball park. Loud music rattled windows for two hours. Exposed wire on lamp that kept shorting out when you touched the table. Not enough towels.

Too expensive hotel (rip off)

Bathroom was clean but it was clean with too much bleach. It gave me a terrible headache. There was no microwave or refrigerator in the room.

Nice hotel, very nice location.

Nice hotel great location. Some issues with some outdated items in the room like a drop ceiling that looks like it is going to drop outside the bathroom. Not a big fan that there was no safe in the room and had to go to the front desk to secure valuables, guessing this is the new trend by other hotels I've stayed at. Also having to Valet park is a real pain. Staff were great, helpful in every way.

Close to Beale St, safe and clean!

Only stayed one night, parking extra, clean room, windows could use some painting and need more than two towels in a room but other than these minor issues, great place to stay, would choose again if in Memphis

Beale Street Music Festival

This is my 3rd year staying at the DoubleTree and as always it was a great stay! It's within walking distance to Beale Street, Friday's restaurant is right downstairs, and aside from the construction going on outside the window, it was great!
