Always wanted to see Beale Street.

Posted Apr 2, 2016
Pros: Although, I was disappointed in the hotel (bathroom), the staff was super nice. They were truly respectful and nice.
Cons: One thing that could be improved was a smell that lingered in the bathroom. When I arrived home, I had to wash all clothes because of smell.
Location: The things that I looked forward to was Beale Street and The Civil Rights Museum
The staff was nice, from the moment I arrived. We were given free breakfast, because of some confusion with my room. I loved the idea of the Fridays in the hotel. Overall, the staff was nice, but would not stay there again. I was told I could have asked for a refrigerator, it I wanted one. However, the staff never told me this. I was told this by another visitor in the elevator.

not up to Double Tree standards

Posted Mar 30, 2016
We chose this hotel because the one in Detroit is spotless, has excellent service, and the rooms are spacious. Not the case at this location. The blinds were smashed, the ceiling tiles looked like they would come down at any moment, and the room was tiny and dirty. We'll choose somewhere else next time.

Excellent! 3 Blocks from Beale St.

Posted Mar 29, 2016
Chose hotel for best price at a great location in downtown Memphis. A few minutes walk to Beale Street and other nearby places of interest. Street parking available but limited to 2 hr increments and you have to wait until 6p for parking meters to be free 6p-8a. Unless you are leaving the downtown area, the best bet is to hotel valet park for the day and enjoy short walks to places. The hotel itself is nice, nothing impressive just clean with a courteous staff. We were out sightseeing or enjoying the Memphis nightlife most of the time and simply went back to the hotel for sleep. So, no review of the hotel facilities outside of the comfy beds and clean rooms. I'd recommend mostly for the convenient location.

Comfortable hotel with delicious cookies.

Posted Mar 27, 2016
Pros: Location to Beale Street
Cons: A fan in the bathroom.
Location: Location is good for the attending events at the stadiums nearby, and close to Beale Street.
We had a lovely stay at the hotel. Upon arrival we received warm chocolate chip cookies. The room was pleasant. We used the health club facility which was small but nice. We ate at Fridays one night which was very good, but the service was a little slow. The valet guys were very nice and fast. Valet is a little costly at $25.00 a day but it does beat driving around looking for parking. The location is ideal for the stadiums around there and Beale Street.

Disappointing

Posted Mar 24, 2016
Pros: staff
Cons: remodel, fresh update, update.
Location: downtown location great
Bedspread dirty, curtains stained, bathroom door sticky, bathtub didnt drain. Had to change rooms. Needs repainted and new furnishings...out dated for the price....But the staff was the best!

Great staff but noisy

Posted Mar 23, 2016
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Get on those garbage people - there is no reason for a back up beep going on and on at 4 am.
Location: Great BBQ nearby at Rendevous and easy walk to Beale Street.
We loved the layout, location and staff of this Memphis hotel, but we had two sources of noise that really made it less than restful: a malfunctioning air conditioner that rattled and moaned, and a very noisy 4 am garbage pick up in the street below our window.

Hotel was positioned close to the Peabody Hotel

Posted Mar 21, 2016
Pros: The location was great
Cons: The facilities need updating, and a good cleaning.
I booked a three night stat a month in advance and was still placed in a handicapped room. I have experienced this on night before bookings but never on an advanced scheduled business trip. There was no full length closet in the room which left me no option than to hang my trousers from wall art. The shower head sprayed directly in your face or had to hang down, spraying out into the bathroom. I had to mop the floor with a towel after each use or risk slipping. This is not how I wanted to spend my mornings prior to an all day conference schedule.
