Not worth money

Posted Jun 4, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Discount on room facing park on game nights. Fix wiring, more towels. Handholds in bathtub.
Location: Great location, many things nearby
Room across the street from the baseball park. Loud music rattled windows for two hours. Exposed wire on lamp that kept shorting out when you touched the table. Not enough towels.

Too expensive hotel (rip off)

Posted May 30, 2017
Bathroom was clean but it was clean with too much bleach. It gave me a terrible headache. There was no microwave or refrigerator in the room.

Nice hotel, very nice location.

Posted May 18, 2017
Nice hotel great location. Some issues with some outdated items in the room like a drop ceiling that looks like it is going to drop outside the bathroom. Not a big fan that there was no safe in the room and had to go to the front desk to secure valuables, guessing this is the new trend by other hotels I've stayed at. Also having to Valet park is a real pain. Staff were great, helpful in every way.

Close to Beale St, safe and clean!

Posted May 18, 2017
Only stayed one night, parking extra, clean room, windows could use some painting and need more than two towels in a room but other than these minor issues, great place to stay, would choose again if in Memphis

Beale Street Music Festival

Posted May 17, 2017
This is my 3rd year staying at the DoubleTree and as always it was a great stay! It's within walking distance to Beale Street, Friday's restaurant is right downstairs, and aside from the construction going on outside the window, it was great!

Unexpected charges

Posted May 8, 2017
You pay $50 per day incedental, plus $25 a day valet (that you have no choice but to take). There was no fridge in the king suite, not a huge deal, but for $300 a night you would expect it. There was no trash can in the room. A little tiny one that could hold 3 coke cans, sitting in the bathroom. Hotel staff, valet and house keeping were very nice. Overall, an ok hotel.

Good value and location in downtown Memphis

Posted May 4, 2017
Pros: Location, updated, clean, friendly staff, gym
Cons: Go back to coffee brewers rather than Keurig
Location: Beale Street- tons of restaurants and nightlife within a couple blocks walking distance.
3 blocks from Beale Street, the hotel is a stones throw from the action, music, and food. The staff were extremely friendly upon arrival and even gave us a crib at no charge. The room was large and the beds were surprisingly very comfortable. I usually have trouble with hotel beds even if they're great, just from being in a new place, but this felt like home. The room was next to the lifts/elevators and the gym, but we couldn't hear any noise or foot traffic.

We stayed 2 nights here. The first night we had no a/c. On our way out the next morning, I told the front desk about us having no air. When we came back they had us a new room and there was a bottle of wine with a cheese and fruit tray with a letter apologizing for the a/c not working. We didn't expect that at all. It was a nice touch. The service was very good.

I’m so sorry you experienced issues with the HVAC unit during your stay. Our maintenance staff works diligently to keep them in excellent condition and we are sorry to hear you didn't experience that on your first night. Once again we sincerely apologize.

Nice hotel within easy reach of Memphis sites.

Posted Apr 30, 2017
Pros: How thoughtful, receptive and kind the staff was.
Location: Graceland, of course, the Civil Rights museum. The lobby of the Peabody hotel and the famous ducks, the history of blues, fine food, friendly locals.
Comfortable, pleasant and receptive staff. Within easy walking distance to restaurants, sights, coffee makers and water in the rooms, free coffee in the lobby seating area in the morning.
