nice hotel close to beale street

Pros: location
Cons: need to have safety deposit boxes in rooms
good hotel close to beale street but far enough away from noise at night. The rooms are a bit dated but they were clean. good aircon plenty of hot water, iron in room

Smooth check in - fast and courteous. Hotel was in good location close to everything we were interested in seeing in downtown Memphis.

Nice hotel close to attractions.

Pros: Location.
Location: Very close to Beale Street and handy for various bus/shuttle pick ups.
We enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and comfortable Staff for the most part were friendly.

Average Stay.. Possible issues

I want to start with a positive note. When we checked in they gave us warm cookies. Now, our room fine, bathroom clean but my significant and I both have little bumps all over from after our stay. Bed bugs? I don't really know but they showed up the next day. Valet parking was cluttered and disorganized. Not worth $25.

Memphis visit

Pros: The close proximity to Beale Street
Cons: Have hotel staff be mindful of broken fixtures in rooms and fix what is broken, we spent a few minutes trying to work the broken shower handle.
Location: Beale Street, restaurants, museums
Pleasant stay, beds were comfortable, room was ok. Shower handle broken but we managed. Parking was terrible we had to pay additional $25 for valet parking.

Disappointed & queasy remembering the restaurant

After our experience in Nashville at the Hilton, I was expecting good if not great service. This was not the case, it was mediocre. The room was in need of refurbishment and had a climate control system that alternated between freezing and heating without pause. Finally, the TGI Fridays restaurant that provide breakfast was simply AWFUL. The omlette was quite good but the cheese on it tasted and acted like plastic. The breakfast sausages were so salty I literally could not eat them and the baked goods all looked so stodgy, I opted for packaged cereal. Perhaps not a bad idea considering the cocktoach that scurried past my chair!!

Good location

Cons: Rooms badly need updating
Location is great, within walking distance of Beale St. Staff are welcoming, and lobby looks promising. Rooms are extremely dated, and not what you might expect from the Hilton brand.
