The rooms are very neat and clean and very comfortable bed. This is a suite and you get nice extras.

You gotta be kidding!
We arrived & found the hotel to be dirty and rather "beat up". Upon entering our 'suite' we discovered that there were no towels. It was a little smelly too. On our way out to do some sightseeng, we explained the absence of towels to the desk clerk. We were assured that we would have fresh towels in our room when we returned. Around midnite, we returned to the hotel and there were still no towels in our room. We had to go down to the front desk in order to get bath mats, washcloths, and towels. At the desk, there was another guest complaining about their accomodations. On another occasion we requested to have something sent to our room, and it never arrived. The hotel's restaurant and lounge have very limited operating hours. It is also a very looong 'two blocks' to the Memphis Zoo. The nearest trolley stop is probably a 45 minute walk. This is not a place I'd ever want to stay again.

Don't do it.
WHile the location of the hotel was reasonably convenient, the air conditioning in the room didn't work effectively. The hotel was old and not maintained well at all. There wasn't even a remote control for the television!

rundown old property
needs to be remodled, paint is peeling, brass on doors in elevator are tarnised and smel of elevator smells like sewer. The front desk staff was not helpful and not very friendly... rooms are worn and need new furnishings, new carpet and new hot tubs. Painted hot tub was peeling and had stains all over the bottom of tub. only one bar of soap, no shapoo or lotion. refrigartor had food in it from previous guest.

Found lacking!
The hotel was in very poor condition. Filthy worn out carpeting, disgusting cracked up and stained whirlpool tubs. If you even dared get into the tub it didn't work anyway. Yellowed bedsheets and pillowcases. The service staff that we encountered were mostly cold and rude. The first room they put us in had no A/C and was over 90 degrees. Then they behaved like it was really putting them out to find us a room that had A/C. We were supposed to have a large balcony and ended up with none at all. Not even a window that would open. Would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone.

Not Impressed
The hotel is very old and has not been updated in a long time if ever. The bathroom tub was very dirty looking. The carpet was probably the original. They didn't have enough towels we had to wait for them to get done in the dryer before they could bring them to our room. I guess you get what you pay for.

It's okay - for the price
It's an older hotel - not the cleanest or most up to date (and believe me - I want a clean bathroom and clean sheets and towels). But you get lots of room and the service is great. You can't beat the price.

Worst Hotel Experience Ever!
All night fraternity party kept us up Friday night. Saturday afternoon we had another couple enter our hotel room because there had been a mistake at the front desk. This couple had been given our room and a key, even though we were still occupying the room for another night. Do not stay at this hotel!
