The hotel feels a bit old, but very clean, and the girl from the front desk was very very nice and helpful !

Deservrs a two star rating

This basic hotel was adequate and deserving of two star (not advertised three star) rating. Its location is very good, the bed comfortable and WiFi worked well. However, the room was basic and the bathroom in need of work. Plumbing there (in the sink and the shower) should have been repaired but when we complained to the front desk, they said it could not be fixed for a variety of excuses. Breakfast was simple but adequate. One of the receptionists (Merce) was rude and offensive. Would not recommend this hotel.

Disappointing

Pros: Centrally located
Cons: -Hotel staff interactions with guests -Facilities and rooms require major renovations
Location: Centrally located in Mendoza, many restaurants and activities were easily accessible.
Initially put in rooms inconsistent with our booking. Hotel staff were unfriendly.

This is a 2 star hotel. We changed rooms 3 times trying to have some air conditioning and no stench in the bathroom. Some of the staff tried, some did not. Internet was poor at best.

A basic, central option

The Hotel Mendoza is wonderfully situated, just a block from Mendoza's central square and the peatonal, and thus offers a cheaper downtown alternative to the Park Hyatt. At the same time, though, it does have its limits: when we were there, several pieces of gym equipment were broken, and the internet connection was spotty. And yet, the buffet breakfast on the tenth floor was quite pleasant, and the staff were utterly accommodating in allowing us to leave luggage for an extra afternoon. It doesn't exactly sparkle, in short, but is a reasonably appealing option.

Don't do it

This is definitely not a three star hotel. The room was barely big enough for the double bed. It was cold. The elevators are slow and crowded in the morning. The linens were dirty. I could hear the conversation for the room next door. The housecleaning starts super early so don't plan on getting a good nights sleep.

Pros: Location is ok
Cons: deep clean, more friendly staff on reception, the occasional greeting when coming or going would have been nice
bedroom floor needs a deep clean. Reception and front counter staff display high level of indifference. Breakfast buffet was acceptable

Functional, only the basics, but with bad food and slow internet.
