Being remodeled

Hotel is being remodeled. Has the feel of an older hotel. Construction workers in corridors. Staff less than ideal.

It was under remodel construction. Total mess. Over priced for the mess it was in. We still like Hampton and always try them first.

renovation, dust, AC + refrigerator noise no sleep

Hotel was undergoing renovation but this was not indicated at hotel web site or hotels.com site. Elevator was dusty and in ugly condition. Only a few rooms were in use and there was dust everywhere. The air conditioner in our room made so much noise we couldn't sleep and had to turn it off. In the middle of the night we were awakened by a loud, high-pitched noise coming from the refrigerator. It sounded like an alarm. I was able to make it stop by raising the temperature regulator. A couple of hours later the noise woke us up again. I finally had to turn the refrigerator completely off. This was not good, as we had food in the refrigerator. Not much sleep that night and not a good experience.

Dated facility

The personnel were very friendly; however, the hotel is very dated and not worth the price. I have stayed in Hamptons before and this was the worst by far! Faucet and shower had a drip that I had to hear all night and the ceiling had spots! I shared the with the personnel at the check out and they explained that the hotel will undergo a complete renovation starting next month and by summer, it will be up to par which is great but that does nothing to compensate for my terrible experience!

Location: overnight stay gave little time. There was an I-Hop restaurant nearby and also a drive-thru facility in the immediate area offering a variety
The breakfast buffet was excellent. Hotel was clean and comfortable . friendly staff

Outstanding Staff

Pros: The best part were all the staff; the excellent service for breakfast; the efficient housekeeping staff and the friendliness of the desk clerks.
Cons: I know there is always room for improvement but definitely keep up the good work.
Location: We were there for a 150th Celebration of the Marion Baptist Church. The Inn was well located for us as we were able to visit downtown also.
