Hotel close to restaurants, but dirty

Disappointing. Hair all over shower, dirty tub/shower, food left in microwave, no soap. All this when I first went in room. Hotel staff was accomodating, but room was nasty.

Disappointing stay

Cons: need to train the cleaning staff & have it inspected at random.... more often
I must say the online photos are extremely inaccurate. They allowed us to check in a little early which was great..... But.... The Room was Dirty & when i say dirty their was stuff on the floor, dust build up behind the bathroom door, the counters in the kitchen area were dirty. I'm afraid to think that if the room was that dirty then i'm sure that the sheets wouldn't have been changed at all also. that & you could hear the person breathing in the next room.

Missing items

Upon check in it went smoothly..until I went to my room and found only one wash cloth. No remote for the t.v. and found out that multiple rooms had no remotes. Took a bit to get a remote but if came. Overall on a scale 1 to 10 I will give the place a 7 or 8.

Convenient to interstate, pleasant staff

Rooms were clean, staff was pleasant, rooms had a full refrigerator, microwave and burner stove. Nice experience for the money.

Hotel room was not cleaned very well.Front desk woman was very nice.Kitchenette would have been nice if it had utensils and dishes..

Great location for shopping in merriville.

Used hotel, to be close to family in Crown Point. I came from Tennessee to be with family due to my father passing away. Great hotel .

Clean room, bad plumbing, inexperienced staff

Pros: Room was neat & clean, parking lot well lit, and exterior doors required a card key. Morning "breakfast" was enough for me--coffee and muffin.
Cons: Quality of service from staff, attention to detail, plumbing that works, and smoke-free rooms that are really smoke-free.
Location: The area has plenty of motels, restaurants, shopping, and road congestion. If you don't have a car, you're not going anywhere, there are no sidewalks.
Arriving in the evening, I noticed that there were two bath towels, no washcloths or hand towels, and no shampoo. The next morning I discovered the bathroom tissue holder under the counter was empty and even the cardboard tube was gone. Asking at the front desk for toilet paper made me feel like I was in a country that had just gotten plumbing but didn't receive the paper supplies. The room was neat and clean but on night 6 & 7 of my 8 nght stay, cigarette smoke was getting into the room even though all the rooms on the floor were non-smoking. On night 8 it was gone. I was told at check-in that a single housekeeping would be done on a Tuesday, which was the midpoint of my stay. It wasn't done and when I asked for towels, the desk said, "We have have you on the list for Tuesday and they didnt get to your room." On Wednesday, I had new sheets and towels but no shampoo--maybe they don't supply it, I dont really know. The toilet was a source of aggravation and could barely flush liquid, let alone solid waste. After one jam where even paper wouldn't flush, the desk said the low-flow toilets were always causing problems and to jiggle the handle, keep flushing, etc., but I wanted it fixed and left for the day. When I returned later that evening, it was cleared and working. My stay was a good value but I shouldn't have to ask for towels, the plumbing should work, and the room should be smoke-free. I wouldn't stay there again.
