Nothing stands out as particular spectacular but the hotel was perfect for what we needed. Two adults and three kids in two rooms located next to one another. Clean, quiet, located near where we going, cost was reasonable, etc It's not the Ritz, for example, but it was perfectly fine for what we needdd.

Nice hotel but no spa

Pros: Breakfast was excellent at an extra cost.
Cons: Requested to speak with manager but was told unavailable, asked them to relay the message to update web page stating spa was in rooms only & extracost
Location: Shopping, Music, variety of foods
The hotel is very nice but I paid extra to go to a hotel with a spa (listed per the website), checked in then went to a Buddy Guy concert which was close by and excellent for my husbands birthday. Got back to the hotel thinking we were going to have a nice relaxing evening in a spa but NO! Apparently the spa's are in selective rooms (none available when requesting to move rooms) and at an extra cost per the front desk :( Requested a late checkout, Maids knocking on our door twice even with do not disturb signs :(

disappointing stay...

Location: located right off the interstate... mall and every store you can think of, is within 1 mile of the mall, so location was the only positive of my stay.
the room had a musty odor-like a combination of liniment and old cleaning solution. there were several groups, adults & kids, at the hotel and the noise was unbelievable. I contacted the front desk around 10pm to try and calm the gymnastics taking place above my room. They apologized and put a temporary end to it.. but things ramped up again, although not as rambunctious as before. However, adults seemed to have picked up the momentum in the lobby/bar area-which emanated to my room until about 3am. I seem to remember being able to fall asleep by 3:30am. the next nite was better as it appeared the groups had gone. I was a bit disappointed that I even had to contact the front desk, as they should have been much more proactive in keeping the chaos at bay... combined w/the room odor & in light of the room rate - this was unacceptable. one would have thought a 'bit' of luxury.. but reality was more like a 30yr old unrenovated motel-6.

Pros: this is a lovely hotel and a wonderful staff
Cons: replace the crappy mattress
Location: very near Southlake Mall
this is a beautiful hotel - but the beds are horrible-how a bed ca be mushy and hard at the same time is confounding but these beds seem to do just that. Horrible nights sleep and still feeling the effects 2 days later.

Spacious, clean rooms!

Three things: 1) The service staff was top notch and extremely friendly! 2) We were on the first floor, and there was considerable noise until 1 or 2am. We suspect it was coming from the bar area, which was unenclosed and in the nearby lobby. They need to have closing doors in the hallway to the rooms, woke up several times. 3) Breakfast accommodations very confusing: We paid $10 each for a fresh-made breakfast, and saw other people eating from a buffet we didn't know existed until after we ordered. They paid nothing, we paid $20 for basically the same food. The free buffet was not obvious anywhere we could see.

Hot tub was filled in and front desk staff made us feel inept because we weren't aware prior to the visit.
