clean, friendly, great viewsPosted Aug 30, 2015
Pros: Possition and the food
Cons: Maybe a BBQ or Sicily food night at the poolside one evening, the facilities were all there.
Location: Very quiet position but also so close to everything you need to see in Taormina. The piazzas with artists, music and all the restaurants offered great
The room had a great views of Etna and the bay below. Excellent possition tucked in just at the end of the main street so we did not have to walk far to the piazzas . The pool was a bit of a climb though, but I did see them give a lift to the less able, which was nice. The cleanliness was good, and the size of room perfect. The BEST breakfast buffet we have ever had in any hotel, ever.

Lovely Pool with beautiful viewsPosted Aug 15, 2015
Pros: Lovely service and beautiful location.
Cons: Needs a bit more love and attention .... looking a bit tired in places. However, it still retains its elegance and style. Could do with updating.
Location: Near a lovely C & G ice cream restaurant and many very nice restaurants, a lovely amphitheatre, interesting town square and gardens. Lovely shops.
Lovely Hotel position with stunning views and in a beautiful town.

There was a foul smell of sewage close to our room. Other then that a nice hotel and staff.

Smukkeste udsigt og rigtig fin beliggenhedPosted Apr 7, 2015 on Hotels

Nice view - but the Hotel needs a refurbishment!!!Posted Apr 7, 2015 on Hotels
Top located - Mountain View to the Etna and just a few steps to Via Umbria. But the first (superior....) room, we were offered, was not tidy and, well, it smells for the 111 years that the Hotel is on duty... The Second room was ok. But the whole Building needs a refurbishment! E.g. the bath rooms were originally designed and built in the 1970ies. The staff is friendly & helpful. All in all: (Much) too expensive for the offered service!
gammal godingPosted Oct 27, 2014 on Hotels
Tråkigt nog snorkig personal i receptionen.

Location: Som sagt, fantastisk.

Excellent locationPosted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: We loved the pool area as it was nice & quiet, no fighting for beds or extra towels. Also having a sundowner or nightcap on the terrace.
Cons: The terrace area felt like you were sitting in a car park, this could be revamped and made very special. The rooms could be more welcoming.
Location: Superb location to explore Taormina. There is a cable car down to the beach. Lots of interesting "ruins". Fabulous shops. Lots of place to eat & drink
We stayed here in September 2014 for 1 week. The hotel is superbly placed for exploring Taormina it is a flat walk along the main street, where they are plenty of shops, cafes and excellent restaurants. There are also wonderful views of Mount Etna from the terrace and it has a good size swimming pool, although there are several steeps steps to encounter to get there. In its day the hotel would have been magnificent, however today it needs some TLC. Even though we upgraded our room my initial impression of it was a poor one. It was small and dingy with bare walls. Having said that it was more than adequate for us we don't spend any time in the room apart from sleeping. The bed linen was clean and crisp and changed regularly as were the towels. The aircon worked and kept the room cool.
